That's one thing I don't understand is why they didn't push games up to take advantage of open windows with the rain.

Probably tailgating with the LSU fans and just letting it ride.

Leave em' flat on the asphalt - maybe the rain will bring them to...

Right back at you two fold

A few years ago I read something around a "Plan C" or so that involved other collegiate fields in the area. No offense to Florida and Texas A&M, but I doubt the brought too many fans. They could have had them play --when the weather permits/permitted at Samford or UAB without too much disruption and played Vandy and UT at the Met.

Yea man, I don’t even know what you are talking about. What responsibility am I not accepting?

I loves me some Dreamland BBQ.

How much rain did they even get there this morning?
Posted on 5/26/22 at 12:40 pm to TigerCub
Is LSU even going to play today? I don’t see how they get it in
Posted on 5/26/22 at 12:40 pm to TigerCub
Kendall Rogers thinking a 2-215 start.

I presume you are referring to Regions Field in downtown Birmingham where the AA Barons play that opened in 2013? That's an option, UAB is an option, and Samford (about a 15 minute bus ride from Hoover) is an option. Rickwood Field could be under consideration. For years the Barons played a game there each year in "throw back" gear. Covid wrecked it in '20 and they haven't resumed it.
Still like another poster mentioned this has been in our forecast since last week. If the SEC could pull off what they did in 2008 for the basketball tourney,I honestly don't know why they couldn't have had dual games with one in Hoover and one elsewhere in metro Birmingham.

No rain until about an hour ago, and it’s rained off and on since then. They easily could’ve gotten in the Florida game by now
Posted on 5/26/22 at 12:43 pm to dltigers3
Ok that’s what I heard from someone else. They could easily have at least gotten 6-7 innings of the first game in

They could’ve started that game at 8 or 8:30 this morning and easily gotten it in. The radar map has really had any surprises all day. No thunder and lightning so far so even if it was a slight drizzle they could’ve finished it.

I would think 10 PM CDT is latest they would start tonight. It will be tough if one of the first two games is longer than ~3 hours
Game 1 - 2:30 PM until 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM
30 minutes
Game 2 - 6:00 PM or 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM or 9:30 PM
30 minutes
Game 3 - 9:30 PM or 10:00 PM
Game 1 - 2:30 PM until 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM
30 minutes
Game 2 - 6:00 PM or 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM or 9:30 PM
30 minutes
Game 3 - 9:30 PM or 10:00 PM

This line of storms heading towards Hoover should be the last one this weekend.

Unless it takes the full 30 minutes to turn the field over, this needs to be adjusted down.
Show and go as much as possible.
Posted on 5/26/22 at 12:52 pm to ProjectP2294
Yeah that's a rough estimate. I'm sure they will push as quick a turnaround as possible.

You mean 4 games a day like it was supposed to be done Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as originally scheduled?

Yeah.
But with the accumulation of rain since Monday.
