Though it is disappointing we are not in the playoff, I am happy to see the Tigers one last time. Soon, we will be missing football. Are there too many bowls? Yes, but there are teams and young men that will look at this as their playoff or opportunity to shine.

Miserable thread. Why not be more supportive and look forward to 1 more game for this team?

You act like we are better than 8-4 every single year. History says we are not. We had at least 4 loses in 6 out of past 10 years, and 9 times in past 20 years.

Yes, we are capable of championship level football, and have had some good runs. This year's team is not at that level. Why did you expect more? We knew Daniels was gone. We knew Nabers and Thomas were gone. We knew we had a first year starter at QB. We knew our defense was suspect. We had enough uncertainties to expect that we might not be playoff material. Many act like we didn't live up to expectations. Maybe your expectations were off? We would have had to outperform on more of the uncertainties than we did to be better.

Well, we should be. Look at the talent on the team year in and year out. Look at NFL rosters with tons of LSU players.

Baylor has found themselves as the season has progressed. They played BYU and Colorado close. Their initial QB, DeQuan Finn, was benched via a combination of injury and not great performance. Sawyer Robertson has emerged as an impressive option at QB with a very solid QBR (5th in the nation). Their offense is now balanced and Jake Spavital is their OC who likes to play tempo. Jake was in the air raid coaching tree, but diverges a bit in that he also desires a good options at running back.

They have good WR's and I especially like Josh Cameron, who is physical and solid at returning punts.

Bryson Washington (freshman) has emerged as their go to RB and he is absolutely capable.

I think their weakness is in the secondary and Nuss could do well with the layoff and time with wideouts (though it remains to see who will fill out the LSU WR corp for the bowl game).

The strength of their D is the linebacking corp. They're good, but not great.

IMO, Nuss has the potential to have a really good game against this D. The big question is who plays for LSU and who doesnt. Baylor shouldn't have many holdouts.

No, he is spot on. Arnsparger let the team drive up to Memphis individually and with teammates for the week and legend is that they tore the town up. We basically had a punt return for a TD early in the game, and that’s it. Lost 21-7.

Come to LSU where we lose to A&M.

Good recruiting pitch.

I thought hippies were from the 60s and 70s?

Getting to your point, this would have described our team?

Good. That gold jersey we wore v Vandy looked really sharp. Maybe solid gold and Baylor wears icy whites-- lovely contrast!
