On ESPN now ! Three points :
-LSU had one hell of a Defense that year !
-LSU was one dimensional on offense-
-I am so glad Les Miles is not our Coach any more !
That’s All !

What’s crazy is that if OK State is put in the championship game as they should have been then Miles likely wins his second national championship.

The guide says 2010, but it's 2011. The epic 9-6 game

I used to stew on this until 2019. That year never happens if Miles has two natties.

Instead we have droves of dipshit okie state fans that genuinely believe they'd have their way with LSU's defense, dumbest fricking fanbase outside the SEC and it isn't close

Miles is probably still here macking on coeds and cranking out the 8-10 win season until he rides off into the sunset.

Michael Ford stepping out of bounds on the game winning td. Glad we won but that had to sting for him, glad it didnt cost us the game

That set up the rematch.

Miles gave Saban a coaching clinic on how to coach in a huge game that day in Tuscaloosa. Huge victory for the program! but the rematch rechanged the trajectory for both programs.

You beat them at their place and yet they get the bye and the rematch? Life just isnt fair sometimes, no matter who you are.

That Eric Reid interception on the goal line is one of the all-time great Tiger plays! We lose that game if that INT doesn’t happen.

Because of 0-21, everyone around the country says that Bama defense was one of the top-5 ever.

However, I will go to my grave saying that LSU defense was better, even though Bama's numbers might be better. I have two reasons:

1) The Bama defense didn't have to face a top-40 offense, like LSU did in Oregon and West Virginia (both away from Tiger Stadium.)
2) That LSU defense got Jordan Jefferson to a national title game.

That was one hell of a football game!
Surprisingly, Jefferson played a decent game that night! It was Jarrett Lee who sucked.

That sequence right before the half was vintage Miles. First and goal at the one; not one aggressive offensive play followed. Miles actually set up for a 19-yd attempt by Alleman!

Didn't really get involved until that miraculous fourth-quarter interception by Reid at the LSU goalline. The 80 yard boot which followed was superhuman. Better decision than to attempt another fake punt there, though it wouldn't have been a completely un-Milesy strategy!

LSU's offense was not nearly as terrible that night as in the *gasp* NC game. Jefferson was decent, the running game clicked at times; those who insist the Tigers should have started Jarrett Lee in the NC should have their heads examined. His 2nd interception in the regular season game nearly resulted in a totally different outcome that night.
