Shows they are not quitting - which is more than can be said for some of their 'fans'.

There was a post earlier this week with 'rules' to be a fan - don't really know about all that. But I will give the benefit of the doubt to some of the naysayers and presume they are passionate fans that may not know how to react to some bad news. If that's the case, here's some pointers:

1. Being passionate =/= coming off like some half-baked expert on the game based purely on what you did in high school or how many hours you've logged on the sofa or in the stadium. And let's say you are by chance correct in your 'analysis'; so what? Do you get an 'I told you so' win? Do you really think that coaches with a cumulative 100+ yrs of experience haven't thought of whatever brilliant insight you've elucidated? Maybe the coaches have a basis for disagreeing with a given strategy - whether they're right or wrong, your crying won't change that.

2. Want to be a passionate fan? Try couching your arguments in a lighter spirit. Your man/woman/person-hood is not really on the line here. Don't forget to have fun. Oh yeah, and cheer for your dadgum team!

I'm not sure the word "most" means what you think it means:

LSU Rushing
CAR YDS AVG TD LG
Leonard Fournette 10 42 4.2 0 10
Brandon Harris 8 36 4.5 0 32
Terrence Magee 8 23 2.9 0 8
Darrel Williams 4 19 4.8 0 14
Kenny Hilliard 4 11 2.8 1 6
Anthony Jennings 2 7 3.5 0 9
Team 36 138 3.8 1 32

I don't think you know the difference between "most of the touches" and "the most touches".

Yes Fournette got the most touches based on the stat line above, but he didn't get most of the touches since we got 10 touches out of 36. That's not most of the touches.

Because he is not the best. He hasnt shown any ability to beat anyone one on one. No shake and bake. And he is timid on contact. I like Williams better than LF. Hilliard should be the starter.

Meeting means nothing. Will not make up for lack of talent and poor play. Players only meetings in my past experience only foster a divided locker room and unchaperoned bitch sessions where tempers get out of hand.

Some magical catharsis and turn around without the coaches won't happen.

I can't recall very many times in my life where a "players only" meeting was a predecessor to good things for the team involved.

Believe it or not those inside the locker room care a great deal about performing well.

Well, what's your experience in your lifetime watching football?

Have players only meetings called when things go poorly generally ended in beter results?

Oh. And you're sooooo the first with the "SettleDown" response. I mean, damn. How smart you are to have noted that!! I'm impressed.

If you follewed a team at all, you knew about it when they called a players only meeting. It ALWAYS makes the news.

So, you either have remained blissfully unaware, or you're lying.
