I might be a contrarian voice on this, because I had met Dr. Cannon on more than one occasion . I don't know if he would be comfortable with this, he was something of a private man, overall. Nice man, extremely understated.

So that is the threshold ....dead and cannot complain. As a fanbase we are so hungry to have "icons" so we can be like Alabama or even Penn State

Crooks don't deserve statues. Still a hell of a football player and a true legend, but Pistol Pete or Skip would have been better choices.
