re: LSU uniforms

Man, come to think of it, I'm starting to warm up to changing not only the uniform, but also the name of the team.

I propose that hence forth they be the "LSU PIMPS." Just think of all the outrageously flamboyant takes on purple and gold that could be used.

I can invision them using bright gold mouth pieces made to look like "grills" or gold "teefsezes."

Just think of all the bling-bling accessories that could be incorporated into the uniform.

How many top recruits could be pulled into the program just based on the whole concept of becoming a PIMP!

if lsu invented the tiger striped helmets, and we wore these things in the 80's for the first time, all you mf's would be saying different things.

but, since we didn't and it wouldn't be unique, then the answer is NO.

And here I was thinking that people from Louisiana prided themselves on being a little different than the rest of the common herd.....

Hell, the new look would be so gaudy that it could actually cause mental confusion and optical stress to LSU's opponents. Got to consider that as a potential weapon in the arsenal, don't ya know.

Sorry for bumping an old thread. I was just messing around in photoshop and wanted to show yall what I came up with.

I am a fan of tradition and would oppose any movement to change our helmets to the Cincinnati Bengal-type stripes on there. I would hate to see us wear those.

But, for curiosity's sake, this is what I thought they may look like:
