What teams have the most top 10 finishes since 2000?

Miles teams were a lot of things but they weren't afraid of contact and were extremely physical. Also he won openers.

He was a good coach. However, his final years were showing a dinosaur offensive style and add to the fact that he could not recruit a decent QB his final 3 years. 2005-2011 were his peak years.

All of Miles' teams had more talent than this LSU team.

Based on what exactly?

He was losing 4 games a year with more talent.

Miles won openers and owned aTm. Les would have this team in the CFP at 10-2 at least, and probably beats Florida too.

It's like LSU fans have suddenly forgotten that he was losing 3-4 games a year with more talent than this current team has.

LSU is either 12-0 or 9-3/8-4. No in between here. SEC is too difficult to finish between that.

I’d also find it hard to believe we would be left out in 2004, considering the refs screwed us out of a potential victory at Auburn, who went undefeated that year.

Think this year is particularly frustrating that even with the A&M and Bama losses, we had both USC and Florida and just couldn’t finish. In all likelihood, we are in this year.

LSU finished ranked #8 in the final AP poll in 2010 and #6 in the final AP poll in 2018.

2006 would’ve been the ideal year for LSU to have get into a playoff. Would have had a decent chance of winning the NC.

The 2006 team was as good as the 2007 team. Of course it was a lot of the same players.

That's 8 of the 22 seasons before BK arrived, or 36%.

Or once in the 9 seasons before Kelly arrived

It won’t be long before the recruits weren’t even born during the Les Miles era.

They weren’t when Les won his national title

That was after the bowls. They weren’t in the Top 10 at the end of the regular season when the playoff field would have been decided hypothetically. Although at #11 in 2010 they would have made a 12-team playoff.

They forget all those games in which LSU struggled to pass for 100 yards.
