Please explain WTF is "whack" about LSU giving free access to live audio that we use to pay $6/mo. for?
Many of us who live outside state and have been paying for GZ might disagree.

As part of a continuing effort to expand the LSU brand and enhance fan experience, the LSU Athletics Department announced that online streaming of all LSU Sports Radio Network programming will be free of charge on desktop and mobile devices in 2016-17.
Welcome to the internet LSU. It's been maddening that I've been able to stream the video broadcast of the game for years but had to pay extra for the radio broadcast.

So what's different now than in the past that made LSU feel like it was newsworthy to put this out there?
In the past you couldnt easily listen on a computer or phone without GZ. Even if you streamed the radio station you would get content other than the game.

What took them so long? It is free national exposure. They should make the video streaming free for everyone outside SEC footprint too. I can access free streaming video of Big 10 and Pac 12 teams why not LSU?

Living abroad, my best access to LSU sports has been either slingbox or Apple TV. Apple TV for events on ESPN or sec network, sling for traditional major network covered events. I have been living abroad for 5 years and have been able to watch every LSU football game and most baseball and basketball games. That being said, I was watching them at times that I should have been sleeping. I have to admit that I chose sleep over some of the basketball and baseball events, but never a tiger football game regardless of the time. I have the ability to record football games and do, but always watch them live because I do not trust myself to avoid knowing the results before I watch the game.

The sling box device costed me 100 dollars 5 years ago; a one time charge, that allows me to watch all of my U.S. cable channels from anywhere in the world, for this feature, I have to air play it to my big screen from my iMac. The Apple TV device has allowed me to watch any sports event covered by my U.S. based cable account for free directly to my big screen from Apple TV

I saw they dropped the line about contacting them for advertising opportunities. They're about to make a killing.
