"You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before." - Rahm Emanuel
This latest policy mandate is from that same outsider yankee bitch who complained about our culture and wanted to take the fun out of tailgating last year, but the backlash caused her to back off. Haven't heard much from her since then, but now she's ready to pounce. Frickin' liberal commie bitch.

instead of xyz frat tailgate its going to be just a group of buddies gathering together with whatever they want to bring. there will always be loopholes.

Yeah, I don't see how a group can't just say "we're not affiliated with a frat" and do whatever they want.

I was mainly joking but trashing the parade grounds has been pretty terrible. The only way they'll ever end this is by banning college tailgates altogether, which is dumb.

Agree with everything except cleaning up before the game. Can they not watch the game on tv at their tailgate if they don't want to go into the stadium?

Student organizations wishing to tailgate on the LSU Parade Ground will have a new set of guidelines following recent incidents of violence and drinking.
Each organization has between noon Monday and noon Wednesday the week before the game to register a tailgate. Each approved organization will have an assigned 30 x 30 feet area roped off by 10 unmovable trash cans. The organization cannot set up before 8 a.m. on gameday, and will be required to check-in with University officials upon arrival.
Organizations cannot have a tent larger than 10 x 10 feet, but can have up to four tents inside their area. The organization’s name must be posted on the tent, and they cannot have walls or binders to shield view.
Tailgates cannot have common source drink containers, glass containers, tablecloths, furniture (with the exception of folding chairs, lawn chairs and tables), stages or other structures, vehicles of any kind, tent walls, drapes or stakes to anchor tents. Tents must be anchored with weights that do not dig into the Parade Ground turf.
Tailgates must be cleaned up before the game begins, Dean of Students Mari Fuentes-Martin said. Tents must be taken off the Parade Ground, and all trash must be cleaned up.
holy wall of regulations

These rules have always been there. Just not enforced.

Why not simply tailgate on a different part of the campus than the parade grounds?
That's what will happen. Even better, let the Greek's tailgate in their houses.

Smart plan biting the hand that feeds them.. it really seems like this administration is waging war on the students and fans. It'll be real sad when campus/stadium is empty but it'll serve them right. Loss of revenue=loss of jobs
90% of the stadium doesn't sit in the Greek section, baw.
R.I.P. frat daddies at LSU.

Good. It's embarrassing what these "student organizations" do to their own campus, particularly the Parade Ground. I'm all for this, though I don't know how this will be enforced.

Only thing I don't understand is why you can't have a tablecloth? Lol
What is so outlandish about the rest?

Clean up your shite and quit fighting plant trash and this wouldn’t be an issue.
But they need to just let them tailgate at their houses.

This is what should happen. It's easier to regulate who is coming and going and where the alcohol is coming from. Plus they won't destroy the center of campus and won't get knuckle checked by trade school baws.
Win-win for everyone.

You can hide "community booze" under the table cloths

Meh... They brought it upon themselves.
