I will also throw this out there: this is late in the year. we’re about to start spring practice and a lot of coaches won’t frick over their current team like that.

I think he is going to be great. Don't be surprised if they add someone else at analyst .

This is a great move from a stability standpoint. You went and got a guy that you would hope will be there for 2 or 3 years for once. You’ve got to end the revolving door at this position coach.

The only thing that may be at play is that he wants to be in LA and wasn’t going to take a job if it wasn’t in LA. To explain why he has been coaching high school and not at a higher level.

Is he ready to be a DL at this level?

I mean how hard can coaching DL be? The guy was a 6 time pro bowler I’m sure he can just focus on technique and being tough cuz he’s been there and done that. Plus I hear he is a really awesome dude so even better. I personally love the hire.

he’s the single reason the Bearcats went to the Dome 3 straight seasons

When they played LCA in 2022 @ LCA, They held JuJuan Johnson to 193 yards passing and 66 yards rushing in a season where he averaged 286.6 YPG passing and 93.9 YPG rushing. I was at that game and that Dline was a big part of why Jujuan had some struggles.

That was one of two games that season that LCA had fewer than 21 points, Against Jesuit (a game LCA won) they scored 28, and in the rest of their games(including games against Woodlawn, Acadiana, Westgame, St. Thomas Moore, and McDonogh), they scored 33 or higher. So that was no small feat.

i think it's very fair to say he is underqualified for this role at a program of this echelon. Agreed.
go back and read the link article in this thread and you won’t realize what a stupid statement that whole thing was that you just agreed with

Bruh you can’t reason with some ppl. He has zero college coaching experience. And literally everyone cheers bc he’s alumni and has a natty.

I wouldn’t gamble on a 1st time college coach personally. Especially, BKs inability to even make the 12 team playoff. Only time will tell how it works out.

I always want to see the players reactions when the coach first walks in.

You might be joking, but it really ain’t that hard. They all teach the same technique, it’s about motivation and buy in for DL, particularly DTs.

Zero issue with Kyle Williams.

He should be a fine recruiter and Nla loves him up there. We were gonna take a step back no matter what.
