LSU T&F at Nationals: Tzuriel Pedigo wins javelin title

Nice!

Was that an expected or surprise 10 points?

I work the javelin event at my schools track meets and it’s crazy how much further college kids are slinging javelins than high school kids. This year the furthest throw was 160’. Pedigo literally through it 100 more feet. Pretty cool!

Way to Geaux, Tzuriel, we're all proud of you. Keep slinging your spear, bebe

Others posted that he was nursing injuries this year. He just ran 2 full seconds behind his PB. 0 pts for LSU which sucks

For what classification? I watched a friend throw 200 at the state event this year to win it.

Kinda sad that the women's sprint corps has nobody qualified in the semifinals in the 100 meters. That was always an LSU event. Need fresh coaching blood.

Not too much of a surprise. They've had a very down year. Focus was a lot more on the short sprints. Squirrel has had a bad year as well but not qualifying either. I believe he's been injured.

The rest of the SEC was fairly deep in the 400m/4x400m as well. Florida's Ryan Willie will likely set a stupid record in the final tomorrow night anyway.

I wonder if Tima godbless is going to be eligible. With her and Lyston lsu signed arguably two of the world’s best young sprinter’s and Lyston has been injured. Tima hasn’t even run. With those two and ofili I thought we were going to be able to run with Texas and break records

Just watched the Godson race, craziness. He had a really bad start then walked everyone down in that last 50.

It's time for him to go. In men's it really seems like the program has been trending down for a while.
