Jim henderson would be an absolutely outstanding hire. He used to be the president of Northwestern State and was outstanding in his time there

Was very successful building up Bossier Community College before NSU. Always seemed like an impressive guy to me.

The members of the sports board may feel differently, but lsu desperately needs a president that understands academics and will just stay out of cultural and sports issues. Sad what has happened to the schools ranking nationwide.

lol...yeah, right. There's no escaping those issues as a University president.

Military servicemen would be my preference. After reviewing both of the following, I would extend “No Thanks” to Ronal Clark.

James Anderson, Ph.D. Former Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (2020) Office of the Secretary of Defense U.S. Department of Defense

Ronald (Ron) Clark, - M.A. Major General & Chief of Staff United States Indo-Pacific Command, Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii United States Army

Left LSU for Vermont...VERMONT?

Also, I don't like an English prof. running the entire school. No, sir.

Jay Dardenne gets the job. The Advocate/Times Pic writes carefully choreographed opinion pieces prior to an event happening. They wrote a piece about how Dardenne should get the job. Just like Mitch used their opinion piece for the statues and DeSTroya did for street names, Dardenne will get it.

The “newspaper” is simply a subscription based public relations firm of progressives masking a moderate Democrats to push a leftist agenda here.

I’m trying to be optimistic. I see some okay candidates here. Dardenne is one of them.

But I do not see at home runs. And LSU can’t afford another Alexander. In fact I’m really weary of outsiders now after his colossal frick up at LSU and Oregon.

He’s another O’Keefe. Which is an improvement over Alexander, but not the right guy for what we need immediately.

It’s going to be Dardenne. He has the LSU loyalty and Louisiana connection going for him. And he’s older so he’ll likely retire within 5-6 years.

If he can clean up Alexander’s mess and put us in a better position for a knockout candidate in a 3-5 years, I can get behind him.

But i would rather Steve Moret or Mark Emmert. Neither are listed.
