Although I never enjoy LSU getting their arse kicked, you always want to make it to the biggest stage regardless of what happens. It's better for recruiting, you can tell kids they have a shot at winning something and they can believe it, etc. And once you're on the big stage, you really never know what can happen. Either way, LSU wants the best positioning it can get for a good bowl game.

Yes, the “we don’t want to go to the playoff because Bama beat us bad” argument makes little sense to me. We can a chance to go to the playoff, we go happy. I can also tell you our players wants another shot at Bama. The want it bad.

We are holding a place. Someone with only one loss will pass us eventually. Rice does not impress anyone and, if we don't fix something BIG TIME in the offense, we will drop like it's hot.
