A lottery ticket would be a better investment.

frick BK.

The more I think of him blowing smoke up all of our asses about how this team was built to win a natty and he was going to keep receipts for the doubters, the angrier I get about what that a-hole wasted here and his holier than thou stench.

Lane coming to LSU immediately and his record at ole Miss will play a part in committees decision to put LSU in with 4 losses and leave Ole Miss out with 2.
Our schedule was harder and we now have their coach. Pretty simple explanation if you ask me.

Just a wisp of a chance-- one in one thousand!

So knowing this, what would it take for LSU to secure that elusive bid? Beat Oklahoma by sixty and hope teams like Vandy, Tennessee, Missouri and Texas qll fall flat on their faces?

I’d love to see all the happenings that would need to occur in the next 2 weeks for this to occur.

For LSU (currently with 3+ losses) to have any shot at an at-large bid (per late-season 2025 scenarios, chances near 0%):LSU must win out (no more losses; finish at least 9-3 or better).

SEC chaos required (to weaken resumes of Alabama, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Georgia, etc.):Alabama loses at least 1-2 more

Texas A&M loses 2+.
Ole Miss loses 2+.
Tennessee or Georgia picks up additional losses.

Nationwide upsets needed for multiple 3-loss (or worse) teams ahead of LSU to fall:Losses by bubble teams in Big Ten (e.g., Penn State, Indiana), Big 12 (e.g., BYU, Iowa State), ACC (e.g., Miami, Clemson if they slip), or Notre Dame.

Group of 5 champ remains weak (no strong bid-stealer).

Committee favors LSU's SOS/head-to-heads over other multi-loss teams.

this requires unprecedented late-season chaos across college football.

Clearly the second one is supposed to be OU. They aren’t on there at all and the playoff predictor gives them a 50% chance to make playoff. Will be a shoo in after they beat us though

There is a WISP of a chance LSU makes it in. The following has to happen:

1. Texas is upset by Arkansas and loses as expected to A&M
2. Missouri loses to Arky final game.
3. Vandy loses out to Kentucky and Tennessee
4. Tennessee loses to Florida this wknd.
5. Oklahoma loses to Mizzou then gets annihilated by LSU.

That's how it's done!-- muh EYE TEST!

all of that happening puts us in 5th place in the SEC behind OM, Bama, A&M and Georgia and maybe increases our odds from .1% to 5%. You then would still need all the OOC upsets on top of your list to eliminate teams ahead of us on OPs list like BYU, Utah, USC, Michigan, Miami, GT, etc.
