Jimmy is easily the most knowledgeable. He's like that guy you meet in a bar who eats and breathes sports and you will never win an argument because he really does know who batted cleanup on the '77 Redsox.

I enjoyed Matt on the Fastest Hour with Josh Innes, largely because in contrast to Innes, who thought he knew everything about everything, Matt was the voice of reason, perspective and serious thought. He didn't just shoot from the hip from the nearest pop-culture pop gun like Josh. My impression of Matt was really positive and solid.
Now that he has his own show, I have a hard time listening to him. Without Innes to play off of as a foil of sorts, it's just too much Matt. He really knows a lot, but a little bit of him goes a long way. Throw in the self-promotion excess mentioned elsewhere on this thread, and something that just sounds different about his voice on the different station (and with no sidekick to give you a break from it), he's just not as enjoyable anymore.

Innis is/was a joke. Matt always annoyed me b/c he was very condescending toward Condon. Correcting someone is one thing...
Jimmy doesn't let anyone else talk, but knows what's up for the most part.

I love how condon says It's gonna be "Youge" but he can't cover more than 2 topics a day due to unfettered ranting.

LSU related: quite questionable. He is blatantly hostile for reasons I'm not privy to.

- for someone who berates people for seeking autographs of players, threw hissy fit constantly when everyone was enjoying the Saints' run. He wanted that fun to be reserved for his kind alone.
If he were a broadcaster from a third world country, he'd be an example of their petty pride and their backwardness.

I keep sports talk on in my office all day. Here' my take:
# 4 Buddy Songy - he's got ovaries! No one else talks daily about the weather, how he's about to die when he has a cold, cutting his mom's grass, and his "better half" when he doesn't have the balls to get married.
# 3 Jordy Hultberg - good sports knowledge and old stories, but I hate the NBA, so that moves him down on the list.
# 2 - Jimmy Ott - good overall sports knowledge. I guess by now everyone in BR knows that he's a bookie. Roscoe's whining and flipping on issues gets old. He might be ranked #1 if half of his show was not commercials about his on-site location.
# 1 - Matt Muscona - because he takes the time to do research to bring new material to the table from around the country. His "Around the SEC" is one of the best segments in town. The same LSU talk gets pounded into the ground every day on other stations. Muscona brings something fresh to the table with SEC and National talk.

Buddy is the only one that has a brain. The rest are speak on a third grade level because that is as far as their mind goes. I wish Buddy would go back to broadcasting from the Gold Club on Fridays as he used to. Now that is unique.

I haven't heard Moscona since he left 1210. What station and at what time, does he come on? I'd have to say Ott is the best, but I never get to here his show.

1. Buddy- I like that he'll talk LSU football 365
2. Jimmy- Could be #1 for me, but I absolutely cannot stand when he starts talking tennis, basketball, and lately about the world cup. He's the most well rounded but I personally have no interest in the NBA, Soccer, or tennis.
3. Condon- entertaining. I like the fact that his show is not just sports.
4. Moscona- Generally can get pretty good guests. i like his "around the sec" segment. But I generally don't listen too much b/c he's just a little too arrogant and he never admits when he's wrong. Very good summary. Would add a couple of thoughts. All of them suffer from the same moron's calling in every day. If I hear one of them say they have Fish, Gary, Newman or a few other callers on hold, I immediately flip channels. Not sure what happened to MFP, he topped even all of those. I often read stuff on the Rant and think some of those guys post on here.
Ott has a horrible stutter-want to whack him on the back sometimes to get the words out. Condon, you listen to for the pure entertainment value, especially when someone challenges his manhood. Better taken in small doses though. Jordy is definitely bright, but as mentioned by others, a bit pompous. Buddy a continuous commercial, and Matt has some real potential and could turn out to be decent. I actually listen to WWL on the way home a lot to see if Bobby is loaded, in which case, it can be very entertaining.
