LSU needs great pitching like always to get out of this regional. AZ's pitching is in shambles right now but LSU can not and will not be able to win a slugfest against AZ's bats. Need Ashley or Corbello to really step up this weekend.

It looks like Corbellos arm may be wearing out, she did pitch a lot this year. She will be much better next year, needs to eliminate free passes, Czechner has made great adjustments lately, credit to this staff for turning around Wray and Czechner. I'm confident we can win this regional, it will all come down to our pitching

We def need the pitching staff to be on their game. The bats have made a complete 180 from last year (in fact, I think this team is on pace to have the best batting average of any team in LSU history). And hopefully the fielding errors (mainly Biank Bell) are behind us. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Icongeauxtigers.png)

LSU is much improved in the hitting department this year which is good but our best HR hitter would be 5th on AZ's HR list. The LSU pitchers need to keep balls down. Needless to say, AZ is living off the riseball right now.
Somehow only playing Arizona once (and beating them) would be wonderful.

Top the bottom, the SEC is much more challenging than the PAC 10

For us fans that live outside of the local market area get to watch it on ESPN 3. Can't wait! ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Icongeauxtigers.png)

After this weekend Louisiana will have no teams left in the tournament. LSU is not good enough to win this year and UL has a serious problem with the Texas team over the past two years.

I'm sure you haven't followed the team this year
I'm guessing you didn't see the team that competed with anyone in the country? Sure we had our ups and downs due to inconsistenty, but this is one of the best offenses in LSU softball history, pitching has been much better lately. LSU has won series against Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina. We have beaten Washington, Stanford. We completely dominated a highly ranked Mizzou team in the SEC tournament, Kentucky just had a special run, we kinda hurt ourselves that game, but don't kid yourself. Torina WILL have this team ready. It wouldn't surprise me at all if we make it to the series, we just need to not give so many passes, then I think we are in great shape!

Wouldn't surprise you if they made the series? Come on man. You're a homer and that's fine, but to act like they have a better than avg shot to get through Zona and a SR in Lafayette with the amount of BB's they give up is silly. Bailey is almost giving up 1 free pass per inning. The offense has been really good but still hasn't been able to completely overcome all of the free passes. If the walk rate continues against Arizona, odds are they will not make it to Lafayette much less OKC. AZ & ULL simply hit to well. That's a fact.

I'm a season ticket holder. I have seen most home games.

If they beat AZ the Tigers will host a super or travel to Austin. UL has too many problems with Texas. Hamilton is a fine pitcher but I don't see her beating Texas twice in one weekend. The only way UL makes it to a Super is if Mississippi State pulls of a victory over Texas. The Cajuns match up very well with Mississippi State. That would mean UL would only have to beat Texas once to advance.
I live just outside Lafayette and I will be at the UL stadium this weekend to see some good softball. It's hard to choose who to pull for. I think the Tigers have a better chance to beat Texas than UL, but a UL vs LSU match-up means we get to be there in the stadium next week.

Owen is capable of making trouble for Texas or ULL. Whether MSU's offense can do anything is a bigger question.
