Doesn't matter, the facts remain the same no matter where, when, or how the conversation is had. Why post if you don't care? You cared enough to do just that.

Try to think about it.

What's there to think about? The HBCUs can have their own title came if they please. Would it be legit? I guess so. Would it be seen as less than a D1 title? Probably, and rightfully so. I don't think many HBCUs footballs teams could compete with the elite power 5 teams. And aren't we supposed to be all about inclusion these days? Why would we need a black only championship? Or does acceptance only work one way in your world?

It was a fricking parade. Why do some of you get upset about honoring Southern along with LSU in a parade. They won a Championship of HBC which is still a pretty good achievement and something to be celebrated. I don't think any fan of Southern thought their championship was on the level of LSU's but it's still a championship of some accomplishment.

Parades are good. Parades are like ham sandwiches in that have you ever had a bad ham sandwich?

There are historical disparities that remain in this country that profoundly affect Blacks. HBCU's continue to educate the descendants of Slaves, especially those who are the first generation to go to college. They understand that there is much work to do still, and they are not waiting on white folk to tell them what they should aspire to do or be, including having a championship game at the end of the season between them all.

Do you have a problem with any of the many Bowl games crowning a champion? Why speak out about HBCU's? The system was made to exclude them anyway. Don't be mad, and don't hate.

Acceptance only works for the mainstream when it is convenient; like signing up a lot of young black athletes to make money on. That is the extent of acceptance you subscribe to.

It is what it is. Traditionally, mainstream American culture borrows or steals directly from African American culture, especially in advertising, music, sports, fashion, etc. This is indisputable fact.

The way you say that is racist and why we will continue to have race issues in this country.
Are white people not allowed to like rap music? Is it ingrained in black people to only like things made by black people, or can they like things from other cultures? Why does it have to be stolen or borrowed? Are black people not part of mainstream America? Do you want to be an American, or do you want to continue to be divided and be African American?
Since you're so in tuned to the black culture, is there anything blacks do that they copy from the white culture? Oh yeah, they are all original G's. Indisputable fact.

we live in a very diverse country. the cultures of blacks, hispanics and asians are mixed into what i'm assuming you call mainstream America, which only consists of white people according to you. It's ok for others to like something you do and copy it. It's been done for centuries.

Perhaps you should visit the SU campus to see what you'll be into 10 years from now.

You mean to see what some 6 year old might be into 10 years from now when he's 16 and dumb, and will soon grow out of when he realizes he has to move on with life, grow up, and get a job?

They didn't start developing South BR until certain people voiced concern about how the approach to the campus looked given the football program's national presence, and the rise in real estate in the area. The university hasn't done jack in decades to that area until recently, fact.

The university provides employment to hundreds of people in that area, fact. Also, your exclusion policy narrative may have been true in the past but is false today.

Sweet Jesus. I'm sorry for whatever has happened to you in your life that has lead to this line of thinking. Truly. And that's not just my white guilt speaking either.

Of course not. But this year's Sugar Bowl champ =/= a national champ

Why speak out about HBCU's?

I'm pretty sure that I said the HBCUs can do as they please. But since we're on the subject, how would you feel if there was a white only national championship? Would that be ok in your world? Or is that only ok for certain races?

Once again, you have my sympathies.

One thing conveniently overlooked by some of you "black folk" is the fact that y'all always want to bring up slavery as if blacks overcsme that situation by themselves and as if 100% of
White America was for it.

Truth be known, without white people deciding to stop the practice it would have continued. White anti slavery movements are what brought it to an end. This is historical fact and undeniable. It is also very racist by some black people to attempt to blame all white people for the institution which was brought to an end by WHITE people.

Now go ahead and bitch and deny what I have posted but I am 100% accurate.

Said a person who has probably never picked up a musical instrument let alone marching on a field playing an instrument with entire songs memorized while executing a field progression. Shut up dickhead.

Yet when the Tiger Band plays it, it sounds like actual music, as opposed to sounding like a bunch of three year olds pretending an old wrapping paper tube is a trumpet. I glanced at the rest of your post, and I'm certain no one cares.

Ummmmm hell no. The Human Jukebox vs TGBFTL in any type of comparison, is laughable....One band is historically relevant and award yearly. The other .....nothing

Also one band continuously copies the other...( neck, right above it arrangement, drone cams,...etc) and then LSU fan base somehow still tries to reject jukebox. But every other fane base that they visits goes nuts when Southern visits. .....UGA fans were sure blown away...

1. Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome is a real pathology and it is thoroughly laid out in the work of Dr. Joy DeGruy; but, it is not only Blacks who suffer from the effects of slavery, Jim Crow, and systematic oppression; whites also suffer a residual pathology.

2. Slaves were only freed to the extent that Lincoln wanted to preserve the Union and win the war. Sure, there were whites that worked to that end, but the fear of what could happen in the South and what it would mean for the country's economy if the slaves were to achieve this end without the help of at least some fair-minded individuals who were white, had to be considered at the time. After all, the US government had to consider how this would look on the world stage. In addition, the Hatian Revolution under Toussaint Louverture scared the hell out of government officials, it set a new precedent. The 1811 slave rebellion in New Orleans further hastened the practice.

In short, it wasn't due to the largesse of benevolent white people. You are as inaccurate as broken scope on a gun. Thank god for the historians who really uncovered facts and not just the made up ramblings of Eurocentric revisionists.

All of them?

Suggesting all "white people" are the same is as stupid as suggesting all "black people" are the same.

It's patently false and a disservice to decent people everywhere.
