He'd be a great choice to take Kevin Faulk's old position as Director of Player Development. Great communicator who is retired from the NFL also. Would have credibility. Would be a great liaison for recruiting also.

I vote Odell. Strong arse offers

I'd be about it. Kelvin's been a great representative for LSU. Someone above said Ryan Clark, and I think that'd be a home run for that position - not sure if he'd take that job since he'd likely have to take a pay cut, but RC has said he wants to one day be the athletic director for LSU so who knows. I'll throw in Rohan Davey - would be extra QB coaching, too.

Serious issues with his training facility/business. He'd have to abandon it I think because of all the contact with prospects.

Shep Did play under Bo also so I think that’s a great idea

Yeah, because all the best coaches and analysts are former LSU players. How about we let Orgeron go out and hire the best people regardless of their former LSU affiliations. You guys would never have approved the Joe Brady hire because you would have been too busy pushing some former LSU player.

I'd hire him as hitting coach.
He always made contact.

Clark would be giving up money losing his ESPN gig and training business.
Not all former players have the desire to put in the time and hours LSU coaching staff and analysts put in.
Shepard made some money in the NFL.
Not all former players want to coach in college due to time commitment.

The Player Development position as I understand it is more about mentoring than coaching. It’s helping the young guys acclimate themselves to college life. Time management, nutrition, class organization. He can mentor the older guys when it comes to reaching their professional goals.
I’m not saying he’s and x and o guy. A former player who graduated, played in the NFL, and is close to the program is exactly what the job requires.

Ha! I pulled that out my arse. I've met him numerous times, and he was so personable. It seemed like a good fit. I have NO sauces.
