re: LSU sent out a survey via email about Aramark/basketball concessions

The transition to Aramark at all LSU sporting events has been one of the worst things to ever happen to LSU in my lifetime. The experience is horrid. The employees are rude, clueless, and slow. They run out of concession staples as early as the 1st quarter in football games and first half in basketball games.
In the concession stand closest to my seats, they once ran out of Coca-Cola and hot dogs 5 minutes into the basketball game. Then when I asked if other concession stands would have any in the arena, the Aramark employee looked at me and said "Why would I know that? Just go walk around and ask them". Another game, my hot dog was literally ice cold. As in, it had been sitting on ice or in a cooler before being served to me. How is that even possible? When I asked for a new one, they gave me another freezing cold one. When I asked for a warm one, the response was "We ain't got no warm ones".
Its been truly despicable. It is so bad we now sneak food and drinks into the game to avoid the experience altogether. It is so bad, we have actually gone to fewer games.
Employees? Abominable.
Food quality? Prison-esque.
Convenience? Root canal.
Price? Free would be too much with how bad everything is.
Do better.

I had like 5 other free text entries that were far worse after this one

me too. but i still think they should do the best job possible for the people who do choose to eat and drink at the game. if you're going to do it, do it well.

Wonder if I can con Joe and Co into buying my secrets on how to sneak it in effectively

I need my 2 tiger dogs at football games in the 3rd quarter to soak up the liquor.

2 years ago they tried to tell me I couldn’t bring in my can of snuff that was in my pocket. I said okay and went to a different gate.

Actually yes although it may just be a ploy to decide whether or not to beef up security.
Was my first thought, too

I go with my school age daughters. Evening games are often scheduled such that there really isn’t time to have dinner before the game. It would be easier if they had decent concessions.

They don't even have to care about my enjoyment, just not be raging assholes.

Who was doing the concessions before Aramark took over?
My biggest complaint is the loss of the hot sausage po-boy. Pretty sure it was a manda link, and it was the best available IMO.

Are you joking?
I walk in with a fifth every game sticking out my waist line. It’s a complete joke on the west side gates.
If you ball up a jacket in your arms they will rarely make you unravel/unroll it.

I’m not talking about alcohol. No shite alcohol is easy to sneak in. I’m sneaking in Poboy Express meals for three people, waters, juice boxes, goldfish, milk duds, whoppers, broccoli and carrots with ranch dressing, and a bottle of Malbec for my wife. I do this because it’s easier than dealing with the current concessions and atmosphere at LSU. It’s become a game to me.

I'd truly rather have my High schools cafeteria food over what they are putting out. At least it was the right temperature. Cold bagged chocolate milk>>>>hot water

I could sneak a small live dog into my stadium gate

That is just backwards arse Louisiana for you. No one knows or expects any better.
When I was a freshman in the 2000s I had to eat at the dining halls at highland or the pentagon. Both were terrible, fried or over cooked shite served by surly north BR residents.
LSU student dining was the equivalent to Old Country Buffet or Golden Corral.
Contrast that to Va Tech, Clemson, and Richmond where I had toured, each had great dining facilities, multi-option concepts that were mid-range food halls before they becane en vouge.

3rd base concession stand, I asked for a coke, the worker asked me if I wanted ice with that?
Seriously? Train your workers.
