You're trying to make me believe this. it won't work... ok it's working a little... ok it's working a lot. GOD I wish I wasn't getting hyped about this for several reasons 1) it's probably not true 2) all we get this month is the spring (and maybe not even that based on what the weather channel says) 3) I'll have to wait until August 31 to see something real

I'll beleive it when they have the guts to actually call these plays in a meaningful situation.

Les Miles baw. It’s seriously disturbing that Miles never developed ONE successful QB out of HS here. He didn’t recruit Jamarcus/Flynn...and Perilloux you know what happened there. Mett/Etling we’re transfers and the rest were hot garbage. Let’s hope Brennan will be the first successful one in literally 13 years. The QB recruiting is already SO much better, and if this O is as successful as we all hope it will be...QB’s will come flocking to play in the same O as the Saints

O really has never really been one to sugarcoat things when it comes to the O...and this is the most excited he has clearly been.

If the Tigers can score a single point against Alabama then that’ll be an improvement.

If Joe Brady really is that good, should he be the OC?

I think the implication is that in many practical respects, he is (or at least a de facto co-OC). I think we all know that Ensminger was a little hesitant to take the full time OC job. But, now that he has it I don't think he has so much of an ego that he is unwilling to accept input from others. In fact, just the opposite. I think he's more than happy to have a young, hungry, offensive coach take on some of the game planning load.

I don't think Brady has moved this quickly up the coaching ranks simply because he knows some one who knows someone who knows someone on LSU's staff. Clearly people think he has ability and Ensminger is at a point in his career that he's happily willing to accept Brady's input vs. freezing him out in the name of self-preservation.

I wouldn't be surprised if the plan is to kind of gradually faze Steve out as OC and allow Brady to shoulder more and more of the load. A plan that Steve is probably fully on board with.

I'm pretty sure that will be the eventual outcome. Steve is a placeholder

There's far more reasons to think it will be greatly improved that to think it will such

Not sure Brady can walk on water. But the offense that Brady is bringing from Penn State and the Saints is a winner. And it is the offense that Joe Burrow has run for 10 years.

Wouldn't hurt Joe Brady to move up the ladder one rung at a time. If Brady can make the leap to OC in 2 or 3 years, he'd still be way ahead of the curve.

Co-OC sems to b the next rung on the ladder for Brady.

I’m not trying to be a Debbie downer and I am 100% buying into the hype of the new offense....

BUT

What makes you say that QB recruiting is so much better?

Brennan has potential but hasn’t done much, we didn’t sign anyone last year, this year we have Parish who I hope is good but his ranking was similar to Anthony Jennings plus he split time as a starter in HS so we’ll see. We have 2 QBs committed for next year but neither is a can’t miss guy. One is a big arm kid that is very raw and the other has the bloodline but his HS stats suck cuz his HS team sucks.

Not saying we aren’t heading for better times, I’m just saying it’s a little premature to make that call.

I agree. Burrow is the next transfer to do well, but we need to see Brennan and his predecessors prove that the QBs can be developed here and that we know how to recruit.

I know the RB is excited about Haynes King QB from Texas who most like better than our current 2020 QB commits. He has LSU/LA ties and would be a real nice get. Regardless we still have to develop and effectively utilize whoever we get on campus.

If this Brady experiment works out I will be firmly planted on the O Bandwagon. I've got to at least give him props for bringing in some new blood. Let's hope all of these reports are accurate.
