LSU same size favorite over Utah St as Vandy (-24.5)

Don't know anything about Utah State, but I can only infer from the opening line they are a bit better than Vandy (had the Vandy game been in Baton Rouge the line would likely have been around 27).

No. If Vandy was playing in Baton Rouge, the spread would have been around -30.5 . Around -27.5 on a neutral field.

Utah State would probably beat Vandy

Yes, the same size favorite.??
Perhaps I am misunderstanding your one word question.

No. Vandy is not better than Utah State.

Utah St is better than Vandy. The home field vs road game thing is why the margins for the two games are the same

Yes, Vandy is better.
They’re an SEC bottom feeder but their players are still above MWC caliber.

Guess you haven’t heard about Mizzou vs Wyoming or Arkansas vs San Jose State

Utah state is probably better. Ole Miss is a must win for Vandy, but I think the Commodores are probably coming out of that one 1-4.

Last year Utah State was a good looking team. They couldn’t beat any ranked opponents, but they scared the shite out of Michigan state to open the season.

Doesnt really work that way. For instance UCF players arent SEC bottom tier caliber overall but they are way better than bottom half SEC teams.

I think LSU come out mean and focused and win by 48 -14 for a save cover.

Utah State is ranked around 36
CBS has Vandy at 112

While I’d love for that to be the score, Utah State’s offense is pretty damn good. And we won’t know until afterwards if Aranda has made the corrections needed, so we’ll see.
As of right now, I’d take Utah St. and the points.

It's a must win for Ole Miss as well. Rebels probably win this by 10+.

Their offense is ok. Nothing spectacular. Love is completing around 60% and has 6TD and 5 Int. They’re undersized on defense too. Not sure why people are really worried. They might score some points but LSU should score 50+.

I watched the entire Utah State vs. Colorado State game last weekend.
They turned the ball over 3 or 4 times and needed a defensive and ST score to win the game.
They are an air it out team. If their QB is on, they will get close to covering. But they absolutely do not have the athletes on the outside to compete for a win.
Look for their RB (I want to say his name is Bright) to take it to the defenders and finish hard. He may be 5'8" but he plays like he is 6'4".
They're better than Vandy.
Just my .02
