Maybe they’ll actually line up on the LOS and shoot off the line instead of being told to hold up & “read and react.”
Perk OLB - Weeks Strong side - & Penn in the middle I’m guessing?
I’ll settle for anything that actually gets the defense lined up on time and ready for the snap.

True, but better D-Line play can offset some weaknesses in the secondary and make it look better.
Absolutely correct. Part of me wonders if we had similar secondary issues last year but they were masked by Ojulari being so good. BJ def allowed Perkins to do what he does best which is track down QBs once they are flushed from the pocket.

it’s not about masking deficiencies.
we went from BJ to Ovie that’s just a major downgrade.
and the. people thought Jones was going to be better than Gaye, despite never competing for any playing time over him

There were better players on every level of the defense last year. Gaye, BJ, Baskerville, Brooks (a huge loss this year), JBC, Garner, Jay Ward, Foucha. I really don’t know why we are so shocked this defense has struggled.

I just want aggression

Well, he is 6'-1", 220lbs. Devin White is 6'-0", 230lbs. Sure Harold isn't big enough?

Devin White is more like 240-250. He weighed in at the combine at 237 but guys train to be as fast as they can at that event so he probably shed 5-10 pounds.

Worth of a shot. I'd rather Wingo and smith getting up field rather trying to eat blocks.
What a waste
What a waste

White is listed at 237 on the bucs website and was listed at 240
while at LSU.
17-20 pounds is a big difference

Guessing he plays the Sam on the 4-3 alignment. When they go Nickle I would assume they take out Swinson and play him there on the edge. In Dime they take out Jones and its Maason, Wingo, Womack, and Perk as the 4 rushers. Penn at the MLB. With Yates, Sage, Burns, Sam, Harris, and Zy at the DBs.

Lord, if they are making personnel and coaching decisions based on what’s posted here, we are in bigger trouble than I thought.

Line up 4 down lineman and let Perkins blitz off the edge or up the gut like last year

Yes just about to post this man some of these dudes on here. Perkins will either be the Sam or wil, but I would think he plays to strong side. I would expect more gap assignment than what O ran. He wanted to stunt to damn much and LBs we had sucked filling the holes created
