As usual? Lol you can’t ecen acknowledge that playing 10 OL in 1 year is a win, sitting at 7-2:
But you just said he ruined the OL. It’s challenging to have a worthwhile conversation with some one with such a lack of perspective.
I had this same conversation with another of the Posse yesterday. Maybe it was you actually.
Are we 7-2 because of our OL play?
We are at the bottom of every statistical category and you are touting our OL play.
We are 7-2 because of our defense, clutch throws (under duress) by Burrow, and Tracy.
If our OL play were any better we wouldn’t have lost to UF and the Auburn and MSU games wouldn’t have been as close as they were.
Oh, and perhaps we’d have reached the teens in rushing against Alabama and wouldn’t have been abused by their pass rush all night.

Is our OL or offense better now than it was under Miles?

An off year at RB is not ruining the position. Not when you are attracting the prospects you are for next year.
I hope you’re right.
What if we don’t land those prospects?
Is an entire year without an effective running game, a year that could have been championship caliber with a stronger ground attack, acceptable in your opinion?

Correct. All of my neurons are firing appropriately

You fail the O-hater extremist test, with your inability to acknowledge that cycling thru 10 offensive lineman is nearly insurmountable, yet we have found a way to win games. Even more shocking is they teach cause & effect in middle school. This is the premise of what you are missing.
Are we 7-2 directly because of our OL play? frick no. But they sure as shite have played well enough given the circumstances most weeks. Even if it is just for a few drives or even a big 3rd down play. You're running out backup Offensive lineman in the SEC; you take what the frick you can get.
I am truly dumbfounded as to what one expects when you run out multiple 2nd & 3rd team players...then have to mix them up even more the next week, and then a differnt unit the following week, etc.
You don't know it now, and shite at this rate you may never know it, but if you ever get to feel the sensation of football enlightenment, you will understand what I am saying. Throwing all biases aside as a fan (see: fanatic) to seeing the game for what it actually is, no matter who you root for (player, coach, team, whomever), is truly a special thing.

In three short years we have gone from leading the SEC in rushing to being 10th.
In this same time. We have gone from being 7th in the SEC in total offense to being12th.
But hey, no worries. As our HC said, our OC is doing a “great” job.

#103 Offense in the country.
The only thing making this stat seem bad is that there are too few teams.
If there were, say 100,000 teams playing football, LSU's #103 ranking would look pretty good, now, wouldn't it?

Better only than his worst, 2009......that season LSU took Bama to the wire till JJ got hurt, some say got screwed out of a W by refs.

Four guys on that 2009 line started every game. TBob was the 5th guy, started 11 of 13 games. Lonergan started two. So 6 guys started games.
LSU has had 9 different starting lineman this year. That is not including being down their starting guard from last season.
I couldn't imagine how much better this line would be without the injuries.

The offense sucks and in all likelihood continue to suck with a washed up OC running the offense. That’s all there is to it.

This is exactly it...nailed it. Have an upvote.

I guarantee you this jackass would've scored against Bama and we wouldn't have one of the statistically worst offenses in the nation.

I posted on this subject in another thread a couple days ago. Our offensive problems go back to the Miles firing. CEO cleaned out Cam Cameron too at that time and eventually fired Dameyune Craig and Jabar Jaluke. The AD and BOS were concerned about saving the recruiting class that year and eventually elevated CEO to permanent status. Then to add to that problem Grimes left for a promotional opportunity.
The Defense class held up pretty good and the staff has remained pretty stable. The Offensive side has been in turmoil since the firing of CLM. The result is that year we only got a last chance QB, no RB's, and average at best OL. CEO has had to patch a lot of holes since that time on the Offensive side of the ball.
Several posters hate CEO for the firing of Canada but he was a disaster and they should be upset with the hiring of him. He caused a lot of turmoil in the staff and did little recruiting.
I am not pumping up Ensminger but we have to keep some tranquility and continuity to the offense to somehow and fix the OL and RB issue this offseason. If we do change OC I am all in for Hugh Freeze if he is clear of his troubles and does not have a "Show Cause" problem with the NCAA.
There was one thing that bothered me about the Bama game stats. While Bama was skull dragging us for 8 yds a rush Tua kept throwing the ball. He had 42 attempt that game which was way more that us and they were leading the game... That is a philosophical scheme problem.

The #1 OL prospect in Texas in 2020 commited today

Posted on 11/7/18 at 8:26 pm to Lester Earl
I just got the alert from my Team Stream app that a 4 star for 2020 committed. Didn't know it was the #1 lineman in TX though. Hopefully the commitment sticks. That's good stuff.
Posted on 11/7/18 at 8:27 pm to TigerLunatik
That’s what the recruiting board said. Likely to be a 5 star
Posted on 11/7/18 at 8:30 pm to Lester Earl
4 star, 5 star. Splitting hairs to me. Best OL in Texas is a good get regardless. I don't follow recruiting anymore, but I know enough to know that.

Not an effective recruiter but will land a top 5-6 class.
Since when is this not expected at lsu?
The first top 5 class O lands wil ve the 1st of his career.
Im eagerly waiting for you to proclaim O a good coach and back it up with wins and losses and his final rankings.
Ill then ask the simple question.....
When did you start accepting winning % and final rankings as proof someone is a good coach

Boy, you O sycophants love to tout those recruiting rankings when they are highly ranked and then totally dismiss them when they are ranked outside the top 50 at their position.

Some would say losing to a mid major for the 1st time in 15 years and having the worst loss in the 100+ year history of the lsu msu series as a disaster too but we've been told that you cant just fire a coach after 1 year.
Even if firing Canada was the right choice, hiring him is a black eye too.
