You realize you are arguing with idiots that would rather self medicate off the shelves from tractor supply and shutter themselves from being able to attend the ever increasing list of events in order to stick it to the libs?

I bet by the end of the week, every SEC school is going to mandate proof of vaccination or a negative test to go to football games this fall. And I will be flabbergasted if more than 100 fans give up their season tickets instead of getting vaccinated. (And 101 people will show up asking for season tickets)

I can’t wait to read all the comments in here. I’m going to be like Eric Cartman lapping up the delicious salty tears.

I just want to know why vaccinated people don't need to get tested to enter the stadium. Everyone I know that has caught COVID in the last month were vaccinated. And since studies have shown that the viral load in infected vaccinated people is the same as that in infected unvaccinated people, why are vaccinated people getting a pass here?

For the record, I am vaccinated.

Because of the lower risk to not end up in a hospital if you are vaccinated. That’s literally what this is all about.

I don’t know the answer to that but I think the whole testing thing for them to show up is to basically make it annoying to the point that they get vaccinated.

They’re trying to give people an out so it’s not “get the vaccine or you can’t come”

You figured they would have learned the lesson from NC State St vs Vandy at the world series

ETA: Never mind, catching up

I would guess the theory is because we know a vaccinated person with covid is dramatically less likely to be hospitalized or die if infected.

Public safety is secondary to hoping people will just go get vaccinated. They just can’t say that

Maybe it’s to relieve the burden on the hospitals.

Most of the infected vaccinated people, have less severe cases and recover without hospitalization. The unvaccinated infected population are occupying a far greater percentage of hospital beds, typically in the low 90% range. There is less concern about the vaccinated population.

The vast majority of current COVID hospitalizations are ages 40-50, unvaccinated, and are expected to be in the hospital for 3 weeks, but are expected to survive. The initial wave of COVID patients last year were typically ages 65+, expected to be in the hospital for 7-10 days, and often expected to not survive. The other current problem is there is less turnover of beds (through mortality or recovery), so hospital administrators are concerned with where to put new patients walking in the door.

People will look back in the not so distant future and see what a huge mistake this mass vaxx has been on humanity.

Antibody Dependent Enhancement is no joke and is being fueled by the vaxxed.

The administration won’t say it but the real reason is to push people to get vaccinated. It has little to do with prevention. If they were truly worried about covid spreading everyone would need a (-) test. Probably coordinated with JBE.

The reality is if you want to print out some fake card and put random shite on it and show it to get in more than likely shite won’t happen. They don’t have the logistics to check. Unless they set up some sort of system that ties a legit vaccination card to your ticket. I know Louisiana has the wallet app but many in attendance aren’t from Louisiana.

All that will happen is someone at the gate quickly glances at the card and you get in.

Grinder, again, why let the unvaxxed into the stadium at all if they are at risk of being infected by the vaxxed (and sent to the hospital)?

Tyler, the unvaccinated have three choices:

1. Get tested before game
2. Not go at all
3. Get vaccinated.

My guess is that 1 and 2 happen WAY more than 3. I don't think this moves the needle on getting people vaccinated. People are entrenched and these strong arm tactics make them more entrenched.
