The IARP has resolved just one of six cases since its formation in August 2019. That involved North Carolina State, which also was implicated in the FBI investigation of college basketball. N.C. State did not receive a postseason ban despite the hearing panel ruling that there were multiple Level One violations.

Scary.....

LSU and Wade has never done anything wrong. This is a witch hunt over innocent people.

Again, interesting that it is Forde and not Dellenger.

Also, no other major new outlet is even repeating Forde's allegation (ESPN, CBSSprots, etc.).

SI article

quote:

The basketball infractions case was combined with violations uncovered within the football program. Those included a booster paying the father of a player $180,000 for a no-show job and former star player Odell Beckham Jr. paying LSU players cash on the field immediately after the Tigers won the 2019 national championship in New Orleans. With a 3-5 record late in the 2020 season, LSU self-imposed a bowl ban in reaction to the violations; the school had previously reduced its number of scholarships and limited some elements of its recruiting.

In 2017, Wade was caught on FBI wiretaps with aspiring agent Christian Dawkins discussing a “strong-arse offer” for prospect Javonte Smart, who went on to play three seasons for Wade at LSU. Dawkins recently reported to federal prison in Alabama to begin serving an 18-month sentence on bribery and conspiracy charges. Former Adidas executives James Gatto and Merl Code also are serving time for their roles, and several former assistant coaches were found guilty as well.

Bunch of Old News but the no-show job thing will be problematic. I forgot whose father received that job. Did the player participate in the NCG?

You're missing the point, Wade's current contract doesn't require them to resolve the case. He can be fired with cause if the NOA alone has an L1 or L2 allegation.

ETA. I hope Woody doesn't go that route, but I'm concerned.

ETA 2. Don't understand the downvotes, I'm one of the biggest WW supporters on this board. I'm simply pointing out that Woody has the option to get rid of him if we receive an NOA with L1 or L2 violations.

Minor punishment at most is all that’s going to come of this.

This thing will never go away. Never even if he gets a punishment, it’ll never be severe enough for Mr Forde

Still, I think the timing is chicken-shite (per usual). Let send something out two days before postseason play which could cause a distraction for kids who weren't even involved in any of this. Can't do it any of the other 11 months out of the year. Have to get it done in March.

Timing is so…predictable

Wait till next tues/weds when forde or Wolken release an “updated” piece rehashing everything everyone already knows

This is some real technical analysis here, but I think it checks out, guys.

Forde works for Coach K. Guess who did the dirt on Rick Pitino at Louisville? Not the actual story that got the program in trouble though, Forde ran the sleazy unconfirmed rumor mill side of it.

The no-show job thing happened when Miles was the HC.

I am relaying that the people who told me O's days were numbered are now telling me Wade is in the same boat. And I'm not talking about the keyboard badasses on this site.

I'm not an "insider" and I could have told you O's days were numbered last season. LSU tried to use the Title 9 stuff as leverage in what was going to be a potential contract dispute. But make no mistake, O was canned because his team wasn't performing worth a shite and he was doing what single wealthy coon-asses from Lafource parish do...act like a buffoon. You can't go to Kentucky. With the entire Board of Supervisors in attendance. Get your arse kicked while looking completely inferior to a perennial SEC bottom-dweller. Then have post-game videos leak out of the HC hanging out in a van with scantily clad gold-diggers bumping to club music.

Is Wade completely innocent? I mean we heard the tape. We aren't naïve about the business of major college sports. But any ding-dong on this sit could have told you following the 2020 season Orgeron was getting close to the end of the his rope. This situation isn't the same.

V.Alexander was long gone before the 2019 season.
