this guy can recruit right? LSU doesn't seem to have a lot of 3-4 players.

Times Picayune is reporting the same thing. This might be wrapped up before the weekend.
If a quality hire is out there LSU needs to get er done. This is the zenith of recruiting time and key to holding this class together.

I've seen enough. Bring him in get out the checkbook and make it happen and let him pick DL coach.

So what if we go to a 3-4, guy can coach D wherever he's been. We have the talent.

This guy has built dominant defenses both in college and in the NFL.
He has coached a Super Bowl defense.
Based on his pedigree--college and NFL--he should make the dreamers who want Gruden as head coach fap even more.
Unlike Gruden, he has succeeded in both college and the NFL.
This would be a home run hire and with one stroke Les restores the excitement and momentum.

Fingers crossed. Looks like Miles knew all along
I'm hoping that's the case and the real reason LSU wouldn't match A&M's offer.
He and Pendergast have history from Dallas so hopefully he had already felt him out and knew Pendergast would take the job if it became open.
We shall see...

My only wonder is if this means a switch to a 3-4 defense and how that fits with our personnel. (In all reality, it might be beneficial for our DL) but jw
Personnel fits 3-4 well.

I don't want manny Diaz anywhere around LSU

Should have let Jamal Adams make the call with Kevin Tolliver on 3-way. He'd be on his way down already.

Well some don't want it to happen because that would mean LSU improves, which would mean Miles stays.
But no one is going to have the balls to come out and say it.

So Chavis leaving may end up being a blessing in disguise.

This would actually be a step up both on the field and for recruiting.

This would be an upgrade, he and Miles coached together on Dallas

I would rather have Dustin Diaz than Manny diaz
