NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The attorney for LSU running back Jeremy Hill says a brief mobile phone video showing Hill punching another man does not show important events that precipitated the fight.

Blaize said her client was heckled about his past legal trouble before the part of the fight caught on video.

Gordy Rush updates statements by CLM at Tiger Tour event. Play the audio in the link for more info
When asked by CLM how a 3.2 GPA student and someone who takes care of his business does something like this... JH33 to CLM "Coach, I am going to fix this"
Don't know what that means yet

Neither that nor being called names will help his cause. Only self defense will which is NOT the case. He's screwed unless charges are dropped.

Well, she certainly didn't say he was called the N-word did she?

So you dont think that the N word could have been worked into heckling about a freshman white girl going down on a senior black guy?
ETA: From listening to that clip of Gordy absolutely no way Hill gets dismissed unless the judge does something crazy with his probation.

I find this part interesting
There's a little discrepancy in where Hill hits the guy in the video. Between this and the NOLA article, Hill has been described as hitting the victim from behind, behind the left ear, and in the side of the head. I'm probably reading into that too much, but hey all we can do is speculate until the video is released...and the side of the head sounds a teeny bit better than back of the head
...but I'm just grasping for straws here
Also, if Hill really doesn't know the other suspect, it's interesting that two strangers would both be hitting the same guy. I mean I would get it if they were friends, but it makes you wonder what the Baldridge guy did to make two different people independently decide to fight him.
quote:
According to police, Hill punched the alleged victim in the side of the head. Then the second, unidentified suspect — who Kelly said could be charged with second-degree battery — knocked the alleged victim unconscious.
The video, which is considered evidence and not public record at this time, also showed Hill exchanging "high fives" with the second suspect and others after the man they punched was on the ground, Kelly said.
Blaize, however, said Hill does not know the other suspect.
"The video is clear that they approach the victim at different times," Blaize said. "They're not working in tandem. You can tell they don't know each other."

This is just getting started. Once the racial aspect of it gets into play, it will pick up

Don't you think of their were were racial slurs uttered the lawyer would've included that in the statement? So Hill gets made fun of and heckled for being convicted of sexual improprieties with a 14 year old and he decides to fight over it? The facts aren't looking good.
