He’s definitely not heading downward.

I think My concern at this point is if we are just getting the same old with a Cajun accent instead of an Ohio accent

Only Orgeron supporters say that "need to get over Troy". These are the same people who still give Miles shite about 21-0. I am an LSU fan who wants this team to succeed, not get skull dragged by Moo St, embarrassed on Homecoming by Troy, etc.

You do f’ing realize it’s O’s 1st year!?!?!
This team has improved every game since Troy. Give the f’ing coach time! The Troy loss is inexcusable but so was the UAB loss under Saban. If you don’t see the improvement since that game then you prove you have zero football knowledge. FACT!

Some of you idiots act like nothing matters anymore because of Troy. I’m glad the players and coaches don’t think like you. Ignorance at it’s finest.

Keep on being pessimistic so your feelings don’t get hurt. It’s probably best for you that way.

If you want them to succeed, it's worth noting that after the loss to Troy, the team improved instead of folding like a chair and beat a team that was #10 in the country.

Give credit when it's due.

The loss to TROY was a big hit to the ranking....beating bama was out only hope to being higher...as the sec has seen a down year

I’m so glad we fired Miles. I was tired of him not getting this team into the top twenty. O is taking us to unprecedented heights.

Oh wait ...

He needs time to get his team ready for Troy?

Are we fricked!

But is that where you thought we’d be after Troy?

So tired of people being happy about beating expectations that orgeron immediately lowered.

I think LSU is way underrated!

I’m much more concerned about how O is recruiting rather than the Troy game. If you can’t put together a top 5 class with this mess of an SEC then we have an issue.

Where were we picked pre-season? Cause if we equal or exceed that it will be the first time in awhile.

We were ranked 13th in preseason. If we beat A&M and win a quality bowl we likely finish there or somewhere between 10-12.

That would be an improvement I think. I seem to remember us always finishing significantly lower than our pre-season pick the last few years.

To be honest though, my take away from the team is less to do about where we are ranked than about my own personal eyeball test. I'm enjoying watching the games more this year than I have been in awhile.

I agree. I made a thread about the "trajectory" of the team a while back meaning I was interested in seeing changes, improvement and a general impression on whether we are making the right moves. If we showed an ability to adapt, correct deficiencies and make proper adjustments I would be satisfied. If you do that, winning takes care of itself.

I'm seeing that and I feel good about where we will be heading into 2018. The key will be how quick we get our new QB ready, adjustments at the RB spot and being able to start fast with Miami as our first game.

I am not super thrilled with how the season has turned out but it does feel like we are headed in the right direction.

I give full credit. The problem I have is that some fans lowered their standards/expectations when it comes to Orgeron. For Orgeron most here will be happy with 8-10 wins and a decent recruiting class, Miles was expected to compete for Championships and top 5 recruiting classes.

I had high hopes for this season, but there were a lot of unforeseen issues. Guice was injured most of the 1st half of the season. According to O he wasn't healthy until the Ole Miss game. I did not expect Key to be in such bad shape and our 2 best DL (Lawrence and Alexander) were hurt. There were also a lot of new starters on D. WR inexperience, a shuffling OL and inconsistency at QB did not help.

The team took too long to gel and did we paid for it. It can't happen next season. We have Miami game 1 and @Auburn game 3. I think we are capable of competing for the SECC, but if we don't start fast it will be over before mid season.
