LSU QB room going forward. To Transfer or not to Transfer. That is the question

Where all three of our current QBs play, start, and get drafted from LSU???

Also on deck according to recruiting we have Garrett Nussmeier ‘21(Currently Committed), Walker Howard ‘22(Currently Committed), and possibly Arch Manning (NB4 no Manning ever comes to LSU. Calm down that’s not what this thread is about.) or Eli Holstein for ‘23.

That is the future of the program. Looks strong. Really helps that LA is producing top QB guys now.

In the age of play or Transfer, any likelihood we keep all these guys? Specifically the ones we have now.

Max is important to keep. His brother is a stud TE prospect. #1 TE in ‘22

It’s nice having an offensive system where QBs consistently put up numbers

One of Finley or Johnson will eventually transfer out, but I think that’s always been known. The future of the room definitely looks bright though.

I would be very surprised if Max stays all 5 years.

I’m assuming Myles stays this year and next and then leaves. Either TJ or Max will take over. FI know everyone says TJ. I’m cool with either but 2 years is a lot of time for development and injuries to happen. Let’s just let the best QB win at that time. Up untill Saturday the board was still making jokes about their should be starter having a penis name.)

So if Max or TJ take over they will either have an amazing year and get drafted. The other will either stay or leave. If the other stays we likely lose Nuss who would be a junior by that time.

Unless they all just wait and our system Is so great they put up insane numbers and leave after 1 year of PT. The young guys may see that and be willing to stay is the only way. ( not very likely.)

Max Johnson will transfer and will evidently win the Heisman somewhere else.

Maybe Brennan will get healthy and have a Burrow like season ending and volunteer for the draft.
He could probably make a roster.

Of the 5 listed maybe 3 will finish their careers here. Best question is which 3? Better to have that problem than which one is actually gonna be worth a damn.

Myles May come back motivated and play lights out and get some draft grades. He has been a top 15 QB this year so far. Granted more QBs played this week.

A lot can happen over the course of the next 1-2 years. I definitely think Finley or Johnson transfer. I wouldn’t place a bet on which one based off one game when they are true freshman.

It’s not out of the realm of possibilities that Finley has bad games and Max takes over

this is my hope but either way Max will probably transfer and I don't blame him. there will be plenty of good opportunities, georgia, Texas, etc.

I think the best case scenario is we don't have any transfer until they are graduate transfers.

Brennan will transfer next year to be a one and done somewhere. Finley and Max will battle it out and the loser will graduate and transfer. Howard and Nuss will repeat the process.

QBs transfer all the time in 2020. It’s a good thing for both parties.

I am sure this has been said many times. But Johnson's dad wasn't a starter at FSU and he had a great pro career. Maybe he sticks it out..

Having 3 SEC start ready QB' is quite a good problem to have IMO, compared to previous years where we would have 5 guys on the roster and they had to figure out which guy wouldn't completely embarrass the team.

Guess we traded defense for solid QB play.

Embarrassment of riches at QB. LSU fans would kill for this for decades but now complain about kids leaving. If a kid transfers out after only his freshman year, I don’t know if I wanted him on my team in the first place.
