I also expect a more decisive coach. No more in game indecision. Also I expect that decisiveness to turn into a more coherent direction of the program in general.

Got this from the Kansas board. I love les but... Yeah...

No we’re just not so pathetic that we’re going to be miserable fricks and hate on the program in a 10-11 win season that we were expected to win about 6-7 games.

Have we settled as a fanbase?

You do realize that LSU has only won 3 national championships in the past 60 years?

I think a lot of the fan base views a 10-2 regular season as the required norm to be back in the hunt every year, like we were from 2005-2012. If you can win 10 games in the “normal” years you’re in position to win titles in the good years, when the right combination of talent and experience give you a better-than-normal team. Between 2005-2012 we won 10+ regular season games 6 times (out of 8 years). From 2012-2017 we haven’t done it at all.

So I don’t think people are celebrating a potential 10-win season as if it’s a championship.. I think they’re celebrating because if we can sustain it (remains to be seen) then we are back in the hunt every year.

Lay off the crack.

10-2 this year is an improvement from the past 5 years. THAT is why it’s considered a “good season”. It’s a step in the right direction. It’s something g to BUILD ON.

I think some of you is either mentally retarded or you’re reading comprehension is Horrible. Nobody said their satisfied with 10 wins. Everyone has said that where most fans and all media predictions expected us to finish. That finishing with 10 wins and a New Year’s six bowl is great. If we Finish with a bowl win at 11 and 2 is better than where we finished last year. so that means the program is headed in the right direction. If people still is not satisfied with exceeding expectations, and winning two more games than the previous year then you’re just miserable fricks

I see this comment made a lot. IMO, the preseason expectations shouldn't really matter when determining the success of a season. Just because some guys picked us to win 6 games doesn't mean that it still can't be frustrating that we lost a game we shouldn't have. The season could have been a little better, but still if we finish off with a win on the road in College Station, that's a successful season. A NY6 bowl would just be a great bonus as well.

A lot of LSU fans are going on how 10-2 is good enough and we should be happy just winning that many game for the foreseeable future.

Those fans aren’t the problem. The entitled fans that think championships grown on trees and anything less is an unmitigated disaster are a problem. I’ve got some news for you. It wasn’t long ago that Alabama fans where satisfied with 10-2 in the SEC when LSU, UGA AND UF were the class of the conference and they were rebuilding and re-shaping the culture of their program.

Apparently 99.9% of college football coaches can't beat Bama either. You know of a coach available that can beat Bama?
