Also, hopefully with the new Box they can keep those vagrants from drinking and watching the game from out past the outfield wall.

jared mitchell projected 1st rounder is a bit suprising.

is it just me?
ehhh. Scouts look at potential more than anything. He did come on strong at the end of last year though.

He has the total package. He's a great athlete with speed, hits lefty, has good bat speed and can cover ground the outfield. He just needs a lot of coaching

I just hope Mitchell can learn how to put the ball in play more and beat out some grounders, dude struck out way too much last year, if he can improve that, he could be successful in the 2 spot

Good points. I don't think he's a sure enough thing to warrant first round, but I can see someone taking the chance in the early rounds if all goes well. You also have to take into consideration that he's never had his time focused solely on baseball. If someone can fix the winding motion in his swing and get him hitting 12 months a year, he has a pretty high ceiling.

ETA -- still want to reaffirm that I think 1st round is a stretch.

I wish we played a better OOC this year. We should be at this point.

I guess I sort of agree, but I'm still middle of the road on that. By the time you schedule your conference games and the in-state schools (who all have nice programs in their own right) you have a pretty tough schedule.

You only have a few weekend series to start the season before conference, and all of the bigger programs want to play at home in that time as much as they can so it's gotta be difficult to schedule around that. I would like to see one big pre-SEC weekend series though (ACC or Big XII).

good luck trying to bring in better opponents to play in BR. LSU needs as many home games this year as they can possibly get with the new Box opening. They need the revenue.
