Holy shite, Lester. How is it not a failure? We’re going to be paying another guy not to coach. frick, I feel like I’m taking crazy pills with some of you.

Some just must be on the contrarian side, no matter how ridiculous a premise they're supporting.

This is a shite show.

you have a guy that doesn't want to be at LSU. You have a chance to hire a new coach that fits your personnel better. The new hire determines if its a failure or not. Not that parting ways with Canada

Shea just posted his thoughts:

We really going make Ensminger the OC, STOP PLAYING SHEA

That would be my guess from what I have heard rumblings about + what Orgeron said publicly when he was the first name he offered up as a possible replacement.

It’s going to be Ensminger with a younger guy named Passing Game Coordinator.

The younger guy Canada averaged 11 more passing yards per game than 2016...

his offense was a gimmick but the guy hiring him wasn’t aware of that until after hiring him ? Do the O worshippers think that sounds better

I am far from an O worshiper, but employers hire resumes all the time that look good on paper but don’t work out in real life. Is it better to stick your head in the sand and pretend it wasn’t a bad hire or do something to quickly correct it? Make a mistake? Fix it and move on rather than let it fester. Seems pretty prudent to me.

We are replacing our QB, 4 best skillplayers, and playing an infinitely harder schedule in ‘18 than this year. And I’d be willing to ban bet that whoever O hires will do better than the 54th best total and 72nd best scoring offense in the nation that Canada mustered. Our offense was simply not good this year. If we can replace the guy responsible with someone better, why not do it?

It wont be Ensminger, because if it is, Alleva and Orgeron will have effectively resigned because their termination won’t be too far behind.

Fans won’t riot, but O will have voluntarily spit up any goodwill the second half of the season created. The fanbase has been teetering near apathy, and that move would ruin any positive momentum.

Don’t try to sell me “value HC + nation’s best Coordinators” and then pull the rug and give me merely “value HC”... that’s some bullshite

I don’t know. Ask Ree, Roger, Topwater, Peej, and Lester. Oh, and space cowboy.

Imagine trying to recruit an Elite QB prospect with your 3rd OC in 3 years who happens to be a 60 year old man who has publically stated he doesn't want to be an OC long term

I'll gladly gladly gladly take that ban bet. Canada did a good job and it was much more enjoyable to watch from a fan perspective. As you mentioned, we are breaking in 4 new starters in the skill positions..we aren't going to be better on offense not even considering the fact that we have our 3rd new offensive system in 3 years.

I thought the offense met expectations considering our personnel & youth. Canada didn't do a bad job.

I would be happy with keeping him.
