He's right. And it would be a wise decision for him to stay.

I hope he stays, I think it would be great for both him and LSU. Next year, he could be a part of something special.

Vadal as well, both guys seem like they are coming back, this is huge if we can get them both.

Yeah, him and Hunter are the key guys IMO. We have LB's and interior lineman, but we are thin one the outer edge on the lines. These 2 coming back definitely helps the rotation of guys, and brings back much needed experience....Please!!!!!

Staying would be a wise decision.

It would be wise for Jerald to stay, just as it turned out to be for La'el.
This is a good example of an experienced player, La'el showing some leadership toward the younger players in his position group.

He has TWO years of eligibility remaining too. He could really benefit from refining his skills for at least another season. I'm so glad that Collins' decision to stick around has worked out the way it has.

Vadal Alexander shouldn't and won't come back imo
Already rated as the highest G on many boards

Also happy that La'el decision turned out well. We were haunted by Ciron Blacks' decision turning out badly for years. It scared Chris Faulk into leaving early, and may have contributed to others leaving early.

Vadal leaving wouldn't hurt as bad as Hawkins. Replacing both tackles would hurt terribly, but we can plug in a new guard with one of the young guys and be ok. Vadal is a beast though and I hope he comes back.

The two most important potential returnees. imo

The will be getting better coaching from Grimes which can only help them be more prepared for NFL.

Agreed. With the exception of QB, OL is the position where experience, maturity and refined technique plays the greatest role.
While no offense is meant toward any other player returning or who may return, but Hawkins and Vadal are the most important.

As of now, the only sure-fired returnee on the OL is Pocic.
I honestly have no clue what the makeup of next year's line will look like, but I guess that depends a lot on who comes back.
I would think that Pocic will move to one of the tackle positions (probably RT if I had to guess).
If Hawkins stays, I could see him switching to LT. If he bolts, is his successor Boutte, Malone, or someone else I'm not thinking of?
I imagine that Brumfield and Clapp will be slated for some playing time on the interior. I've read that both have been working interchangeably at guard and center. I was really excited to sign those guys last year. Both are very intelligent players and have the propensity to go on a "mean streak," which is exactly what you want in a lineman.
Andy Dodd and Jonah Austin are two other guys I think could fill in on the interior.
As for the incoming recruits (assuming they sign), I'm not certain whether Maea Teuhema is ready to play right away, but he is a guy who I think will be a great one for us. George Brown probably needs a redshirt year to put on some weight, but he is in the same mold as Hawkins - tall and athletic. I am very excited about what he can do for us down the road. Adrian Magee is another guy who I feel needs a redshirt year, but for the opposite reason as Brown - to shed some bad weight. Once Magee gets in shape, he will be another tenacious guy in the interior. I'm hoping that we can sign another top notch OT in this class, since we will be very thin at the position after this season.
All in all, after a year under Grimes, these guys can only improve going into next year. I am excited for the future of our line.

We need this to become a trend then a culture.

I've seen a lot of posts from users thinking he won't make an immediate impact and I'm wondering if I'm just totally missing something? He's not going to have to gain weight, according to 247 he's 6'4 1/2 and 340 pounds. I don't think they would give a kid five stars just based on his size, I would assume he has at least above average footwork and good strength. But I played WR and DB in high school so maybe I'm out of my element.
