Have liked/wanted these for years when they come out, but not for $140

That's the average for the Pegasus school or pro team colorways. Usually $130 for standard colors. The sole technology is using more AIR foam and the usual EVA foam than they did 5 years ago.

If you want to wear what the student athletes ACTUALLY wore last year, they got the normal purple Pegasus 39. Some got the yellow or all white, but the all purple with no LSU marking is what they gave to almost all athletes.

This. That air bubble is about the only thing Nike still has going for them. For the life of me I can't figure out why they keep pumping out these ugly arse shoes. Stop trying to make them futuristic. Stop trying to show off fancy new technology (aka "We found a way to make them even cheaper but charge you even more!"). Just make some classy looking shoes for the love of god. Keep it simple. You had it figured out in the early 90s, stop trying to fix something that wasn't broke.

This. People want to dump Nike but I don't know if they've seen some of the uniform abominations that Under Armor and Adidas have trotted out. LSU's uniforms don't need to change at all.

This is lazy and they have been doing the same basic shoe the last couple of years. They just want a template they can use for all Nike colleges and rip off the willing.
