Woodward needs to swing dick and make it happen. Rotate between New Orleans and Bossier every season. The Final Four is in New Orleans this season but that comes around once every 10 years.

Before you say the arena in Bossier is too small.. it seats 12,440 for basketball. In the last two tournaments San Diego, Providence, Boise have hosted or were planned host sites and those arenas seat 12,414, 12,410, and 12,644 respectively.

Duke and North Carolina would get a host site in North Carolina every year. Kentucky and Louisville switch back and forth between hosting.

Playing close to home in the 1st and 2nd round is a huge advantage. There's never any 1st and 2nd round sites close to Baton Rouge. LSU usually gets shipped out to Jacksonville because it's the closest to Baton Rouge and that's a day's drive away.

If LSU wants to become a big program they need to play every advantage they can get.

Always good to throw N. Louisiana a bone every so often with LSU athletics. Lots of die hard Tigers up there.

What crack are you smoking where you think Bossier is remotely relevant for anything on a National stage?

Everybody can't wait to pack up and go Boise for the tourney games. Bossier City is a good spot for drawing Big 12 and SEC teams and the arena is bigger than other tournament arenas.

People stuck on Bossier City and ignoring LSU needs to get some tournament sites closer to home.

I’d love it, but not sure how you can say this when we rarely sellout the PMAC these days.

Great idea. Granted Kansas City is large, but think about the 75 million times Kansas has played the first two round there or Villanova playing in Philadelphia now with the rules being amended that you can play in your hometown, but can only play in the tournament arena x number of times.

Bossier has no chance and when New Orleans hosts the first two rounds nobody goes.

LSU has never played a 1st/2nd Round game in New Orleans. Which is the point. Now that LSU consistently makes the tournament and is getting good enough to be a good seed year in year out they would be sent to New Orleans.

I agree. About 10 years ago they did hold 1st round of women’s tournament here in Bossier. Took my daughter who played Bball with Airline. Arena was packed and we had a blast.
