is LSU trending up or down in 2014?

Every single college team goes through ups and downs. Bama is in a down year this year they are "trending down" but you don't hear fans calling for Saban's head?

This is a rebuilding year, miles will probably still be the coach in 2015 only if Michigan does what everyone here, including me sorta, wants them to do. If miles comes back next year and puts this crap on the field again he should be gone. But if we get better again it's a sign, Miles causes LSU fans to loss years of their life because of the stress he puts us through but he still puts top talent on the field.

I would say if we go two straight seasons with 4 or 5 losses he should possibly go. But if by 2016 with this recruiting class if we aren't at least contenders for the playoff he should go. Because of our youth 2014 and 2015 may be difficult years but there is no reason the 2014 class should not pan out to bringing us close to a title by 2016.

Thank you for your continuing posts.

it is sad to see that the world is so negative. when i see sooo many unhappy people, i first have to turn to compassion. i imagine their nuturing was abusive in many ways.

but, thanks for your positivity!

The reason I'm willing to give Miles time is because of the #2 recruiting class he brought in.

All the past stats in the world won't change that. And that is what makes me sick. I think I'm slowly coming out of denial so forgive my logical thinking.
Take you no comfort in the established precedent that Les Miles can suffer a setback and lead his team through three consecutive years of improvement culminatng in an sec championship and national title appearance?

What you hope Les Miles can do in the future, he has done in the past.

This is correct and cannot be debated.

To anyone who fits the description above, you are judged, mocked, and rebuked by people who are better at being reasonable and happy than you are.

This is the second thread where you have incorrectly accused me of running-on.

The numbers are cut and dry. It's a collection of facts for you to analyze and interpret how you will. They paint a very positive picture of the last 10 years.

So game planning and game management are not legitimate complaints? Got it.

Correct. They are vague taking points that guys named Skip and Stephen A. use to kill time and pretend not to be unprepared.

And normally in debates you ignore facts that are against your side and use facts that support your side.

That is why this thread is on page 4

Your math is correct. Your conclusion indicates myopia.

you are correct, it will only get worse this year

but the question is will it get better next year and the year after? Les has proven that he can correct a downward shift.

or should we all just be reactionary bitches and "demand" Les to be fired?

I know but it destroys your trending down argument. Every team goes through ups and downs. This will be one of LSUs biggest downs the question is will we bounce back or will LSU go the path of Tennessee or Florida if the later is true miles should be shown the door.

It never ceases to amaze me how many "LSU fans" get so antsy and defensive when someone merely posts comprehensive statistics that tend to paint LSU in a positive light.

My OP contains 0 opinions. Only facts with which no one disagrees. With those facts, one may do what one will. It has been entertaining so far to see so many of what Have become typical reactions. Lotta real CORFers.

I'll try and leave it at this today...

My biggest issue with those that have perpetually complaining about Miles is that they have been wrong nearly the entire time they have been complaining. The man has run the program now since January 2005 and, regardless of how anyone wants to spin it, has lead LSU to the greatest run in it's history...amidst wailing and gnashing of teeth of a solid portion of the fan base nearly the entire time.

These guys are like the religious kooks who claim the end of the world is imminent, only to have to go back to the drawing board and recalibrate when the day comes and goes and the world is still here.

Will they be correct one day? Probably...in both cases. Is that day now for Miles? I don't know and neither do they...but as a lifelong LSU fan I fricking hope not, because it would mean at the very least a harsher downturn. but I would feel this way...because I have nothing invested in disliking the head coach, so I'm perfectly ok with him righting the ship.

Others? Eh...

My leash with Miles and this staff is not infinite. There certainly can be a time when I point towards the situation and say, "Alright...enough." But when I do it, I'll rest easy knowing that I haven't prematurely blown that load 40 times previously over the past decade at EVER frickING TURN when a loss occurred or something I disagreed with happened.

If you've wanted the guy fired since TENN 2005 and have been vocal about it since then, who fricking cares what you think today? You've been wrong the entire time...you can't be taken seriously now.
