LSU just isn’t an elite program anymore

It’s time for us to realize this. NIL and the transfer portal has taken away the passion that players like tyran mathieu and many other players used to play with. There is no more sit and work hard to earn the starting spot anymore. It’s all about money and if you’re not starting you transfer your arse out.

NIL has changed the game. You will never see a 2019 team like LSU’s in a very long time

LSU will still have there years every now and then but he’s right. Bigger schools will take over. LSU will fall behind. The big money schools Oregon Ohio state Michigan USC if they get there shite together, and Texas. Texas A&M will even be a player but the sec will even feel the impact.

College football is now just a shell of what it was five short years ago. After being a passionate fan for 50 years I am now almost completely disinterested in it. It was the last bastion of authentic American culture not ruined by corporate greed. Not anymore.

If you really sit down and think about it was lsu ever really an ELITE program yeah got four national championships but that’s nothing compared to Georgia or Alabama
Lsu got lucky and had lightning in a bottle in 2019 and anyone with half a pulse could have lead that team to a national championship
Lsu never was a powerhouse in football compared to other teams and now with nil probably never will be money isn’t there and never will be

Even worse, the guys that we Dao recruit for a year, DO train, bulk up in our weight program will portal out before their junior year for a $25k NIL raise and guaranteed starting position to play at Miss State or something.

Ole Miss casts a wider net for middle wealth donors as opposed to relying on a few gazillionaires
