LSU is the top job. Regardless if it's NFL or college.
We pay well, and we can win immediately with even a 2nd tier or 3 rd tier coach like Coach ED. We have a talent base and fan base that demands immediate wins.

LSU is not A&M. We have expectations. Are we going to get a 2nd tier coach? HELL F in No. We are not a 2nd tier program; we just won the national championship in 2019. what does that say? We can win; this is NOT TEXAS.

We have a new chief in Woodward, we trust. Although the talks about the next coach will heat up over the next few weeks, there are a few coaches that fit that bill.

The talks will heat up very soon between the crew.

So we are in a good spot and thank god we don't have Alleva making the final decision. Woodward has been very open with his search and communication. you see Woodward bleeds PNG there is no stone that's un turned.

He hasn’t said shite yet because o is still the coach.
Unless you’re talking about in the past, which is wrong too.

Do you not remember the baseball hire. Every interview was reported after he had already moved on. He was way ahead of the media, he’s not open at all.

This brings me to mulkey, I know it’s hard to believe, but I believe that the whole “mulkey to lsu” thing that got started on this board, was before Scott even interviewed her. Nobody had a source on that. it just happened to be true.
I may have started that lol , see, I got bard as hell on here one day and made a trolling thread about mulkey coming to LSU and it spread like crazy on this board. This was like a week before Scott contacted her in a serious manner . I think it was a complete coincidence that the board had any idea that mulkey was a potential option even.

LSU is not the top job. We don't have the deepest pockets, we have an unrealistic/retarded fan base. Talent level is not an issue, but there are other teams with access to plenty/ if not more, top tier talent. Our national recruiting is not nearly as successful as teams like Ohio State or Alabama.

This fantasy world LSU fans live in, is getting tiresome.

This will be my 9th LSU HC in my fandom tenure. I am not holding my breath. I think we will get someone good but top teir ???. Go look at that USA Today list of top paid coaches and see how many are touchable right now and for that matter how many you would want.

Why specifically? He signed Jimbo to a 10 year 75 mill fully guaranteed deal, then followed that up with giving O a six year contract paying him over 9 million this year alone.

Im not just worried about who we hire, but how much it’s going to cost us to get rid of them if they flame out.

I don’t think we need to go backwards on offense nor get ourself a $100 million anchor around our feet.

It's not about highest paid coach anymore. It is a combination of money for the head coach, assistants, analysts, and NIL deals. We don't have the deepest pockets.

I said nationally. The difference is, when your state is having a bad year or the talent instate doesn't fill positions of need. If you look at Ohio State, Alabama, or Notre Dame, they have players from several different states. They are a national brand.

LSU is a top tier program, but not THE top program. There are several top tier programs. Florida and Georgia are easily just as good as LSU. Oklahoma, Ohio State, Clemson, Michigan, Texas, Notre Dame, and even Oregon; all have great potential.
