Watching the games yesterday and it showed me how much of a gap there is between the 4 playoff teams and LSU.

Well...we did beat the team that beat both of the final 2 teams. And did it with an extremely unathletic qb and a moron as coach.

I wouldn't say light years, we'll have the lines on both sides to be able to stay in a game with anyone for the next 2-3 years. We just need to develop the playmakers, particularly QB. If you swapped out Etling for Fromm or Mayfield this year we'd likely be in the playoffs.
