Getting a national seed hasn't been our problem. Doing something with it has . Laugh all u want but Stoney Brook says hi. PM has consistently underperformed in the postseason. Do people fear LSU like they used to? I sure Houston wasn't to upset to be paired with us a couple of years ago. We haven't threatened in the CWS since 09. So no I don't really consider us a contender. The whole question is can we make it. No one really thinks we will win it. Hence not a legit contender

It's only mid-March. Still a long season ahead.
In case you haven't noticed, none of the other usual contenders in our league are setting the world on fire either.

Yes. Lsu most definitely has the talent to be a title contender. We have some key guys in a little slump right now. It's baseball the greatest players to ever walked the earth have had slumps.

I wouldn't write off Lange so early in the season yet. I know he has had 2 bad games this year but he didnt do so hot to start last year either and ended up one of the better pitchers in the conference at the end of the season. Poche has been great and Walker has been extremely solid as a Sunday starter.
Bullpen i think is in better shape than people will say. Once Newman comes back there are 2 shutdown arms in the pen eith several others being experienced and reliable.
Bats have been hot and cold true, but with 3 freshman starting that's going to happen. Just have to hope they stay on track and keep developing. There are not many lineups in the country i would take over LSU's right now.

Our RPI and all 7 national polls say otherwise. Just sayin...
If Lange climbs out of his rut and Walker continues to impress and improve as a Sunday starter we could have 3 aces by the end of the year. That gives you a chance to contend in Omaha.
