Jack (John Ritter) on Three’s Company mentions REDEMPTORIST / LSU shooting guard Howard Carter.
That’s pretty amazing. What was the context?

The song "Rednecks" by Randy Newman. I'd normally post the lyrics, but I don't want to get banned
"College men from LSU, went in dumb, come out dumb too. Hustlin' round Atlanta in they alligator shoes. Get drunk every weekend at the barbecue."
What's wrong with those lyrics?

Childish gambino mentions LSU in one of his songs. The guitarist for sleigh bells wears a honey badger jersey in their bitter rivals video

Nothing.
But go ahead and post the rest of the lyrics for that song for all the class to see.

Was at the game where they filmed the stadium scene and game action, Everybody’s All-American.

I saw Kid Rock in a LSU sweatshirt in a pic before he made it big. Probably a Shaq fan.

Was that concert spring of 1972? If so, I was a high school senior on campus for a visit and we were provided tickets to that concert.

By the way, I caught part of a movie on tv a few weeks ago and the scene was filmed in the Quad. Don’t remember what movie though. Anybody know what movie?

That was a store in St Gabriel near the levee as I recall. There is a bar room scene from what used to be The Bayou that was outside the gates on that little road that runs between the road that runs between Highland and the other one that sloped down the hill. Can’t remember the name of that one. That bar burned down as I recall sometime in the 90’s???

Unfortunately, we find out later that the LSU player gets in trouble down the line and lands in prison

Same here. They did that at least one game maybe two. As a sidebar, Timothy Hutton was married to Debra Winger and they lived in a house in my neighborhood, Lakeside off of Bluebonnet and Highland. I used to see them walking with their baby stroller. One time I saw Timothy in his boxers eating pizza in front of his kitchen window at night, while driving by. In before, creepy and cool story bro.
