the non-student fans are starting to show up as evidenced by the decent crowd against McNeese

I was surprised to see that many people at the McNeese game considering that the opponent was 2-9 and weather in BR was shitty. So surprised in fact that I thought by getting to the game 40 mins early I would easily get my LSU coffee mug. Not So!!!! I had to drink my Sunday morning coffee out of a Flintstones mug instead of my spiffy new LSU Basketball one!!!

I don't expect student support to grow very well for some time. I do think attendance will rise this season from Baton Rouge residents. I think a win over UK or UF/a great winning streak/a top 25 ranking would go a long way in really increasing attendance. Otherwise, we'll have to wait a little longer before the Maravich Center is filled up. I'm confident Coach Jones & his system will get people to show up eventually.

Media behind the basket is an eye sore.

They need to build a media box at the top of the other side of the arena opposite the camera box

Excellent preview as usual, dude. I'd love to see Shug drop a few big 3s this game- did not know he was shooting right about 45% from deep.

Yeah right now I'll just stick with the seats above the lower student bleachers.

Coleman started the year 0/6. Since then, he has shot 57% from deep... And that's over 8 games. Kid has been on fire from deep. Not to mention he has been successful driving to the basket and getting fouled. Very efficient scorer for LSU.

I have a feeling he will quietly have a solid year and will be the unsung hero of this year's squad.

He's been very impressive coming off the bench for LSU. It's amazing how much he's flourished on the perimeter. He played well last year, but he has brought his game to a whole new level.

He's helped fill the void left by Martin's slow start IMO. Great sixth man.

Liked the breakdown in the piece. Got to hope for 6 wins in January at least!

I will be there tomorrow and Tuesday night. Can't wait for the Tenn game, nothing better than a big SEC game

Good write-up South. I agree with your assessment that this is likely a make or break month for our tournament chances.
