There is basically no argument to be ahead of Duke, Gonzaga, Virginia, Houston, or Michigan.

Only glaring issue with poll is Nevada too high. Houston is 6-1 in Q1 games, Nevada 0-0... both only have one loss and Houston is in a better conference.

Houston is #4 in NET and #3 in RPI
Nevada is #11 in NET and #17 in RPI

Houston should be a top 5 team, Nevada should be ranked behind LSU.

A UK team with 4 losses and winning the SEC tournament and regular season easily gets a 1 seed in the tournament. An LSU team doing the same would secure a 2 seed but the 1 seed is iffy.

Yep, just thinking about the season so far... Man that Arkansas game is such a big what if right now. Win that one and you have a chance to effectively go 3 up on Tennessee with 4 to play

Michigan literally lost to a team who was 1-10 in the Big 10 and they moved down ONE spot... I don’t understand it at all. Yes, they followed that up with a win over Maryland who’s ranked 25, but they still should’ve gotten moved down to at least 10

Significant jump. I was hoping for 12, but I’ll take 13.

I think if we would have beat Houston we would be top 10.

Arkansas loss was big too. Oh well. Just keep winning, and hope for a 2 or 3 seed.

We scrape by shitty teams in the last 30 seconds of every game. That's what holding us back in the polls.

You obviously don't know how voting works... Lack of big time conference games is what the problem has been. Most AP voters probably haven't watched a game of LSU's entirely before last Tuesday... All those wins you talk about they just read a box score usually

The reason our RPI is good and our Net isn’t quite as good is we are winning the games but not by as much as someone in the top 10 should win. The efficiency marks for LSU are bad because we beat UGA type teams by 4. The teams with top 10 NET beat those teams by 20. RPI likes us cause a win is a win to the RPI and it doesn’t matter if you win by 1 or 101.

How could LSU be ranked behind Tenn and Kentucky after beating both of them?

Absolutely nailed it.

Voters either watch the way we have been skating by ( or Upig) some inferior teams or just seeing the final score.

Fortunately, at some point the voters become irrelavant and the resume determines the rest of the season. Just win, baby.
