I guess the scorekeeper gave Braswell the benefit of the doubt against VMI game 1. He def had 2 throwing errors

So there's your study.

I'm not sure what you don't understand.

If that is true it sure supports what he has been saying. And it undermines those who have been saying the shifts are the reason singles and doubles are down while homers are up. Obviously shifts are part of the reason; this makes it seem like they are a small part and LA is the major part.

Kling is one of the best MLB prospects on this team

He has all of the non-hitting tools thus far. Going to need to hit eventually.

I’m really impressed with Milam, Bingham and Brown. Especially Brown wow! Our new pitchers also look really good and as advertised which is a pretty big deal. We didn’t know for sure what we’d have. We thought they’d be pretty good but they were excellent and I was surprised with a couple of them. I really liked what I saw from the pitchers. The juco guy was a huge surprise to me. I also really liked Gage Jump and he could be a Friday night guy for us. I also really liked some of the freshman I saw.

So Loer, Kade Anderson, Holman, Ulloa, Jump, Moffett, Primeaux, Coleman and the regulars from last year like Hurd, Ackenhausen, Herring and Guidry. We also have the big lefty and some other young guys who did really well. I know Cam Johnson struggled but he will be a superstar and will likely shut some teams down in big games and post season this year. His stuff really moves naturally a lot like Skenes ball would move. Makes it extremely hard to hit. If he can calm down and just pitch, he will have a good year. He will develop into a star pitcher. Not worried. Then we have the regular offensive guys from last year. This is going to be a really good team come post season. Really hard to beat!

He was coming out of high-school. Of course he has to show those two hitting tools in college at some point. He's barely hit for power and certainly hasn't hit for average at LSU yet. If he proves that he can hit college ball he may yet be a top MLB prospect but entering his second year he hasn't shown that he can.

Still think we need to give it a little more time. Not everyone comes in and hits as a freshman. I think we need to hope for Kling the type of LSU career Mikie Mahtook had. He struggled his freshman year and then 2nd year is when it started clicking and his 3rd year was the big break out year when he got drafted.

Don't take this as me saying Kling can be as good as Mahtook. I just mean the progression of his development at LSU could be similar.

He doesn’t have much of a sample size to even say this. But what he has put on paper so far would keep him in the lineup all season:

.277/.392/.495

Brayden Jobert’s power is on another level but this is what he did in 2 seasons at lsu:

.273/.381/.587

The problem is the hype around him coming in and people taking the high school prospect ranking the wrong way. Some people were expecting him to come in and be similar to Dylan Crews. That is just putting unrealistic expectations on him. I've said it plenty on here but Pennsylvania high school baseball is not strong. It was always going to take time for him to adjust and I feel like he was doing decent last season before he had the hamstring injury.
