Yep, FCS

Does FCS have divisions?
Posted on 2/28/19 at 11:44 pm to SammyTiger
It has conferences, just like the FBS.

No I've explained it already to the other guy and assuming that you've attempted to read the post I can only conclude that you lack basic reading comprehension skills.
I said that it's a good hire because they're adding analysts. I clearly explained it to the other brain damaged guy. I also said that it would pay dividends down the road.
Forget thinking for yourself you need to just start thinking period.

I could only get through the 1st page and a half before the typical dregs of the board gravitated here and soiled what should have been a rather innocuous post about a newly hired analyst with every hate-filled, “not-settling-for-mediocrity,” furiuously self-righteous strike of their key. Typical for what this cesspool has become. But it’s Friday, and I will not be dragged down into sewer.
But for real, if you’re just going by his team’s production while he was OC at William and Mary, it’s obviously not awe-inspiring. But I have no idea what their talent level is/was, how much autonomy he was given by the HC, whatever. He’s not even 30, yet, is he? Maybe he’s a better evaluator(analyst) than he is a teacher(coach). Or maybe he just sucks. Whatever, I don’t really care.
What I do find encouraging, however, is that O gave Brady the rope to make this hire. I’m sure Ed—and LSU—vetted him a bit, but he’s basically been hired because Brady respects—and trusts—him and his football mind and wanted him around. (I highly doubt a guy as seemingly ambitious as Joe Brady would vouch for someone just to be his “drinking buddy.”) Which is to say, that O trusts Joe(Brady), and is already allowing his input and more importantly, his influence into the program.
Is this dude gonna turn us into Bama or Clemson immediately? Of course not. That dude is either not available or—more likely—does not exist. I know everyone wants immediate gratification these days, and I would certainly like to see the offense improve much more (and faster) than it has to this point too. But, I think this is just another indication that this regime is at least trying to progress into that younger, more creative kind of offense we all want. Will they get there fast enough—who knows? But on March fricking 1st?—I choose to not be miserable and am prepared to let it all play out.

Job market must be good in BR, most if not all of these analyst are going to need a 2nd job to make ends meet.

LSU brought in an analyst that is on the same page with the Saints coach Brady. No doubt Brady got him for that reason. We committed to Brady this just makes the benefit from that hire to be better leveraged. No idea why our fan base and the people on this board are so myopic.

Yea, it's the college football version of TDS.

Did they not have that opportunity last year? Instead they went in the complete opposite direction by hiring Sullivan and Ensminger. Do you think that was a mistake?

So is everyone else. So if everyone is making good hires where does LSU gain benefit? If you're running the damn race at the same speed as everyone else how do you ever take a lead?
It's not enough to just do something you dingus. Look at my signature "Don't confuse motion and progress." What you're saying is just because we're moving, it's good.
Your action has to offer benefit vs the competition. If they hire a better analyst than you do guess what, they'll have an edge.

Any hire is a good hire? No wonder Orgeron is "crushing" it.

LSU's football program shouldn't be a training school, much less for up and coming coaches who are neither up or coming.

Sounds like a perfect fit for LSU's offense

It’s like hiring a waterboy and people thinking hes the starting QB.
That's not what the thinking is at all.
If you're striving for excellence you strive for excellence in every facet. If he's going to be the waterboy he better be the best damn water boy ever. He better be bringing you Perrier on a silver platter.
This mentality is what separates guys like Will Wade and Nick Saban from guys like Les Miles and Ed Orgeron.
