Strictly speaking. In terms of non NC bowls games. This will be LSUs biggest bowl game since 2006 in the Sugar. 2010 Cotton was non BCS. 2012 Peach was non BCS.

So yes counting 2007 and 2011 those “bowl games” were technicaly better. But this will be LSUs biggest bowl in 12 years. Let’s enjoy the shite out of it and kick UCFs or Michigan’s arse.

Why is the fiesta better than the 2010 Cotton bowl or the 2012 Peach bowl?

Yep. They don’t remember in 2012 how pissed we were to be in the peach bowl in the first place. It was a shite bowl game for the 4th or 5th finished SEC team at the time.

Cotton was exciting but was a non BCS bowl as well.

Because they are the modern day equivalent to BCS bowls.

Which is a function of how the system has changed and how other teams performed.

We finished with 3 losses at the end of 2015.

And in 2016.

And back in 2013.

We finished with only 2 losses in 2012. And in 2010.

And if we had the “modern day” format then those two teams would have been in the equivalent of the NY6 at 10-2.

Because they are now part of the CFB Bowl rotation, Cotton and Peach that is.

If my aunt had balls she’d be my uncle. Fiesta has been a premium bowl for decades. Be happy or take your snow flake arse somewhere else.

I can be happy and travel to the game while still pointing out why your post doesn’t make any sense.

UCF?

LSU has nothing to be excited about playing them.

Seems like a silly statement coming from the guy that says this is the best bowl since '06 IF you don't count '07 and '11.

Cotton and Peach are both significant. I mean during the time of the BCS, there was talk of giving the Fiesta the boot and substituting the Cotton in in its place to be one of the big four BCS bowls.

So I don’t agree with that premise, I say all those Peach (formerly known as Chick-Fil-A) and Cotton appearances were big deals and significant.

Which further illustrates where LSU is currently in the college football landscape.

Would you rather play in the Peach Bowl or the Fiesta every year?

You weren’t here for the melt down when we got placed in those bowls.

During that time period. The capital one bowl was the BEST non BCS bowl for the SEC. period. So if it wasn’t BCS or Capital One it was a second tier bowl game at the time.
