DM was late for meetings/practice and stuff, nothing too heinous. I get that CBK had to reinstate a sense of discipline since O had let things get way too loose, but in this particular case it seems like he went a bit far.

BS, you set a time, the real players responded. Folks know you mean business. He had the same timeframe to get into the room. It’s kind of like a job, late for work on the first day?

That’s why he was on the outside looking in.
This was well deserved.

I am glad everyone is so optimistic. I hope y’all are spot on. I also believe in karma and don’t overload my arse with my mouth. It’s bad karma.

Let’s pump the brakes until we get down the road a bit. I’ve followed LSU longer than 90% of you young bucks. Long enough to have seen us fall flat. Not saying we ain’t good. Not trying to be a downer dickhead. Not saying we will fall flat.

I am saying don’t jinx our arse. At this point I am happy with Kelly and what he’s brought to the table. But the minute someone fumbles or misses an assignment a lot of you pukes will be wanting someone like Jimbo or the guy from Florida or USL.

We don’t have a stud RB like we are used to.

We had less than that last season, remember that? We have more returning starters this season than last season. Perkins only started 8 games last season, but finished third in tackles, 1st in Sacks, 2nd in TFL and 1st in QB hurries. We return 3 of out 4 leading tacklers from last season. Would you rather last years team, or this one?

Definitely would have to say this year's team with a healthy Smith, experienced Perkins to go with Omar and the haul we brought in via the Portal in the secondary.

Yep, not even close!
Same can be said with the offense!

Ain't about jinx ain't about luck.
It's about a coach who teaches alignment to mature football players who want to understand the game and staying focused on each play of each practice and every play of every game.
Excellence is the goal that Brian Kelly brings to Baton Rouge and Louisiana and star players loaded with talent wanna go to lsu and dethrone Georgia and make bama an after thought. These players and future players are on board just like when Saban went to Baton Rouge.
Honestly, if Les Miles and Coach O can get it done so can BK

on D. Every position is a question mark to me outside of D-line.

Linebacker? This is close to being the best position group on the team. We have probably the best guy in the country in Perkins. Omar Speights was first team All Pac 10. Greg Penn is returning, and he played very well last year. And we have West Weeks who provides good backup, and his brother Whit, who is rated higher than his brother.

We normally only play two LBs and we have three excellent players, with one of them being a superstar and another being an auto-NFL player. That’s about as good as it gets.

You are very superstitious. Perhaps if we sacrificed a goat and examined its entrails we could set your mind at ease.
