Hope this thing don’t drag on to long. We need this big man in the lineup.

Won't see him this year if again for LSU

Guess we all know the starting 5 now.

LT - Charles
LG - Lewis
C - Cushenberry
RG - Brumfield
RT - Deculus

He got caught cheating in school and instead of him getting a zero like normal students. He gets a zero and suspended.

It’s ONG- Offensive Nose Guard
beat me to it. How about OL-TB... offensive lineman touches ball.

Not good news obviously, I liked Ed Ingram a lot, but honestly I think we’ll be ok. Damien Lewis will step into his spot just fine. Hopefully Cush comes out and surprises some people, nobody seems too high on him.
I was. His spring game was diappointing... but it is really hard to tell about OL in that situation unless you are watching film of them specifically to analyze them alone. Their performance relies a significant amount on the guys to their left/right.

And that was with split squad, several people (including tackles) out with injury.

So I'm still leaning towards Cush being fine, not great, but a notch above "serviceable". Just not as much as I was pre-spring game.

I think many are still looking at his recruiting profile. He's put in alot of work. He's come along way. We will see if it was enough.

FWIW, it was a school policy he violated, not a football policy, so it is not up to the staff to decide when he returns. Thank Bahnsen and compliance for more self imposed bullshite.
of this, I had no doubt. It has that smell.

The last guy that got caught cheating ended up transferring, ironically opening the door for ingram to start last year

I disagree, it seems when we lose one it’s a starter. Ingram was better than Brumfield.

Lots of overreaction in this thread. Will he be missed? Absolutely. But he is a guard and LSU has a couple guys they can plug in there and be fine

LSU = catastrophe syndrome u.

Like injuries, we somehow don't expect these things to happen or realize we have able bodied backups.

That's about par for the course with this OL.

Raise the bar and standards. Recruit higher quality OL's (Mentally, Physically and Personally) if you don't want stuff like this to continue.

It doesn't surprise me one bit, as I've continuously commented on here about LSU OL dysfunction and quality.

This is just further proof.

Yea I'm guessing that he is taking an intersession class or two to get his grades up for the next 2 weeks. If he does that he should be good to go after game one, but he may have already lost his starting job by then.

Has to be this. Exactly what I thought when I heard the news

Why don't you be honest and put the "fan of" Texas Longhorns back in your username. You can't be this fricking stupid and be a real fan of LSU.

Bottom line - if whatever he did wasn't something that LSU is mandated to make him ineligible for then let the football program hold him accountable in a way that doesn't hurt the team.

LSU Football needs to not donate a dime of its annual profits back to the school if all the school is gonna do in return is hamstring it. Just my opinion.

Ree's on edge lately. His job(probably career)of being the Orgeron regime fluffer hangs in the balance this season.

It was some kind of bad behavior from high school, not LSU academics. Hopefully will not be too long of a suspension.
I don’t trust our compliance department at all though.

How can you get reprimanded for something you did in high school?
