15 times (now ahead of the 14 by Clemson). [From College Poll Archive].

1. Alabama (83 appearances)
2. LSU (15 appearances)
3. Clemson (14 appearances)
4. Fla. St. (12 appearances)

Not bad for a non blueblood program from the south.

Jesus. Thank God we fired Les. Talk about underachieving.

That’s pretty insane... no way I would have believed that (not sure that I do yet... LINK?).

And has to be all from just 2011 and 2019, right?

Had Saban’s return to the SEC not happened so quickly (or at all), oh what might have been.

Makes you wonder what the rationale was for the 3 jokers that put Clemson at 1. I get that they could be the best, but what would make anyone vote for them based on how the season has played out? Hell, I could even see Ohio St at 1, but Clemson? That has to be 100% based on last season, which should mean nothing for this year. Pollsters are way too full of themselves sometimes.

I wasn't being sarcastic. Thank god we fired Les. He's a prime example of doing less with more.

That being said, I would take him as a recruiting coordinator and offensive line coach tomorrow.

The impressive thing about that is that at no point during the 2003 season LSU was ranked #1 in the AP. So it really should be more.

I think this was just the last 10 years, so does not include 2003..
