They had hundreds of people stuck because they put free parking in a mud hole.

Concessions were out of things before the game started.

They wouldn't let you keep the lid to a water bottle. It's not a fricking beer.

4 hours to get home.

Fist fights at gate 12. I had to walk my kids away.

The band didn't even play when walking down Victory Hill.

The gameday experience has gotten worse each year since Woodward has been here. Why produce a survey if nobody reads them?

Les Miles has lost control of Mother Nature.

Or pour some gravel. It's not like they make millions off of each game.

I don’t like that shite either. I prefer to buy a half dozen water bottles for me and my crew so I don’t have to get back in line later on a hot September night.

This has been a rule for a long time. It’s a safety thing preventing fans from throwing full bottles at/on the field, etc.

Yes they did. They were before the football team this week.

Yet you can buy one for $5 (well you used to be able too)? Guess $5 water bottles are safe?

Its amazing how some fans can`t be happy even with a
needed dominate win. They need something to BITCH ABOUT!!!

But to be fair to the OP, the experience isn't the same it was 20 years ago. But I think that's the case across the country. CFB is FAR more commercialized now. Can't imagine what it's like at an NFL game now.

OP said they took the lid off of the water bottle. May be different rules for different locations of the stadium.
Pretty sure I was given an unopened bottled water in SEZ

I bought two waters and two Beers at the self-serve at gate 12.

Took us about 5 minutes to get in to the game through gate 12 (gates 8-11 looked like a cluster). Great selection of beers (16oz crafts were $10 and 12oz were were $9 ) and even a daiquiri bar right next to us. Left the stadium with about 5 minutes left in the 4th and got home in 45 minutes

stadiums have been doing this for years...if it too much of an issue for you, bring your own bottle caps...

Have you been to any sporting event in the past decade? Most stadiums have a policy to not give the caps. Often the person working doesn't care and won't take them but it shouldn't come as a shock when they do.

If it cannot be monetized it will not be done.

Last year the Self-Serve was actually Self-Serve. They just had a guy to ID by the entrance.
